So far, I'm a bit disappointed by this manga seeing as I read so many great reviews of it. For whatever reason, I can't seem to get into the main protagonist's character. He shows potential to become a great character (strong beliefs and somewhat chivalrous [except the chivalry is aimed towards women's parts and not the women themselves]), but his fetishes become a bit of an annoyance. The fetishes don't stop with the protagonist, though. There are a bunch of characters in this manga that have "disturbing" fetishes to say the least. Now these fetishes can lead to some pretty decent humor, but a lot of times, I couldn't help but think, "Come on. Can't you be a little bit normal?" Don't want to knock anybody's fetish, but they are taken to an extreme in this manga. It's taken so far, that it becomes a bit unbearable at times.
There's also the problem that most of these chapters are stand-alone episodes. This isn't necessarily a bad thing since Midori no Hibi was also this way. However, these episodes are just not as appealing as those in Midori no Hibi, and at least most chapters in Midori no Hibi center around a central theme (sometimes more vague than others). These episodic chapters don't seem to make much of any progress to the main theme.
Overall, it's an average read. It can be enjoyable (as seen by the reviews of other people), but if obsessive, strange fetishes aren't your cup of tea, than it may be hard to enjoy this manga to the fullest. Would definitely recommend Midori no Hibi over this (same author). And seeing as it is often compared to Love Hina, I would also recommend that over this manga.
