Description

After three unfulfilling years of high school, Imamura Kinichirou was finally graduating. Because of his delinquent-esque looks, he was feared by his classmates, has made no friends, and his greatest regret was not joining the ouendan (cheer club), which was now disbanded. After an accident on the day of his graduation, he and classmate Fujieda Aki are transported three years back in time, freshman again in body but with high-school memories intact. Can Imamura fix the mistakes of his past? Can he re-do his high school years in the way that he's always wanted? Again!! The universe suddenly shouts.

The MC is very human and very tangible (up to a point ofc) and I found myself identified with him. The mangaka depicts emotions very well and expresses how fickle and proud people can be. You get to root for the characters in such a way that it even inspires raging sometimes haha

This manga will make you feel that at the end of every chapter there's a hideous cliffhanger waiting (I count the pages before reading so I don't get my hopes up too much). I'm hopelessly waiting this gets an avalanche of releases of 4+ volumes in the span of 2 days like claymore once had. One manga I would definitely finish and reread. 🙂

update: Right now is, as the latest review stated, boring. But it could be just the arc (chap.~78). Still have high hopes for this series with 3 vols still unscanlated and all.

I am a big fan of time slip manga and this one is really good. It actually focuses a lot on cheerleading and it's a bit different from other time slip manga in that manner. The biggest problem I have is that the time slip becomes less relevant to the plot as time goes on, but it still adds something fresh to the situation.

Fine series with a rushed ending (It isn't that bad...)

The series itself was great, we get to see most of the casts' despair and growth mixed with some time-travel (It isn't a focal point of the story, but I liked how the author chose that everything he did wouldn't change the original timeline).

The author does have quite an old mindset, but once you overcome it the story shines. I actually liked the ending, even thought the series was cancelled. The author was able to give us a brief glimpse of what she had in mind. I'd rather put the blame on the drama club ark (It was clear that the author was over invested in it ).

If I were to say what I didn't like it would probably be how the time progression in the story should've been clearer not just marked by the events they're cheering on considering the theme it's fine, but seeing how the author wanted to make a more mature theme that wasn't only focused on the ouendan, it would've really helped to show the team bonding with other classmates and not just running. How the author took a personal vendetta against of her female characters also sours the manga a bit (except for the female MC/time-traveller the author has a poor opinion on girls in general ... even though she's one herself... but that's probably the consequence of an old fashioned Japanese mindset).

Edit: the English unofficial translation butchered many key terms ...

Real Potential

This manga is really interesting, the first chapter stopped me the first try i tried reading this. But i hadn't read the whole chapter in the first place. I got fairly interested in this manga after the first chapter and then was immediately hooked after the first couple chapters and read start to the latest chapter. I hope to see more chapters in the future 🙂

At first i was completely put off by the art, i admit i like bishonens. But "Again" is a great manga, its cute and fun once you get over the art style and i really like the idea of fixing the mistakes you've made in life--its like "Orange" (Takano Ichiyo? Ichigo?) in that aspect.

It's great. Read it 🙂

So much Potential

There was so much potential in this one, but since the MC is what you can lacking direction loser, it bogged down to filler and randomness. Read up to the latest, he gets really boring and uninteresting so I'm rooting for other characters now. This is one of the worst usage of Time-Travel troupe where the darn MC is overshadowed and did not use future knowledge in any useful way. It's completely unnecessary.

Just give him a vision about what he will be in the future is enough. Like through a fortune or vivid dream will suffice.

But all was lost when the mangaka chose to milk the story.

I'm grateful to this manga for introducing me to the Japanese style cheering. This thing feels like it came straight from Imperial Japan times. Anyway, just watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqk_YDZWRKU Who won't do a kamikaze attack after being cheered like that? 😀

I won't comment on the plot since it wasn't my cup of tea for the most part. I just want to say one thing: this manga should have ended in volume 7. The new ark that started there is nothing more than a way to make money from a popular story. I feel exactly like the girl in the last meaningful chapter, "I'm disappointed." Does the author want to make another Haruhi style SOS-dan? Meh.

At least the artwork is nice.

I can say that i can relate myself to this manga. . there was a time that i wish i could relive a bit of my collage years cause i was unable to get the girl of my dreams. . she was a perfect 10. . She was beautiful, smart, and had a lot of suitors. . @_@ and due to my lack of action i was friendzoned to my dismay. .I wished i could just go back to that point and do something to change the past. . The manga showed a bit of realism in itself that depicts how one can change the things he wished he was able to at that point in time. . The characters have depth and shows their own personality. . Its a good and fun read that anyone can enjoy. .

Ps. . In the end i wouldn't change what happened in the past. . Even if some of my decisions were bad, stupid, and down right regretful. . cause you know what? Everything happens for a reason. . after collage we met again and i finally got her to say those three words that all men want to hear from a beautiful girl. . <3 Yup. . I'm one lucky guy. . =)
