Time killer

Well, i decided to check this manga out because i wanted to read something like Strobe Edge or Ao haru Ride.

While they share similar atmosphere, very school-slice of lifey. Some people say SE was boring, but i didn't think so at all. But instead, i found this manga on the dull side. The artwork is nice, although i didn't like the main guy's hair (lol) and i also liked the fashion. Her girls were very gyaru and the guys kinda host-kei-ish?

Unfortunately, i found this manga dull because it was lacking. Something was off.. which i think was the main couple. I enjoyed the side character couples, but the main couple i wasn't a fan of. Kurosawa was flat and dull.. and i think they entered the girlfriend/boyfriend stage too quickly.. their relationship progressed so fast. Within like 3 chapters or something and kurosawa is already seriously kissing her and is in love? Sure love at first sight, but the author failed to make it appear believable.. it felt more like kurosawa was playing mei to me because of the lack of realism and lack of development of his character and emotion from him.

The characters only fufill their given typical shoujo sterotypes. For example, kurosawa was the popular boy with a darker past, and mei was the shy gloomy girl who blossoms after meeting kurosawa. They played their roles rather than actually being the roles.. thats how it felt to me. Artificial sugar.

To sum it up, the author tried too hard to make this manga a refreshing breezy school manga, but instead it came out cheesy and unrealistic.

SOOO GOOD!
This manga is really good, totally not cheesy or cliched. The main girl is awesome. WHen she first meets Yamato she roudhouse kicks him XD
and Yamato is really sweet and totally in love with Mei which is really nice. I love seeing their relationship progress and Mei help out others relationships.
and the character development is really great too!

The drawings are fantastic and sometimes you just have to sigh at how good-looking the mangaka makes them look but seriously story, story, tut, tut, tut. The beginning was good, the idea cliched. Though what can you do when people in this industry don't have half a brain to stray from the norm. The ideas though were good and Mei was a nice awkward character finding love but it shouldn't have been with someone popular, this is probably were the mangaka messed up. BECAUSE IT IS TOO CLICHED. Though she does incorporate realistic things into this manga world but they were also centred a lot around sex which in a way makes it even more realistic but a central idea that repeats itself. But then again you have those totally shojo moments where you go "you lost me...this is too mushy." It becomes predictable and at one point i was yelling at my computer for something not to happen...it did.
If you're looking for something original you may find it here, but most likely if you stick around you won't. These mangas are the hardest types because you can't go anywhere that even borders real because it becomes boring, i give the mangaka credit for keeping me engaged. I will continue to read for the realism and how the character overcome it.

A good Shoujo Story

I really like this manga. The main character Mei is interesting, strong, and not cliche. In this manga you get a great blend of shoujo romance but you also get a story about learning to believe in yourself and open up to others. I think this manga does a great job showing some of the issues that people face in their teen years. I love the Mei's spirit and how she she is quiet but observant of the ones around her. She manages to be tough with out being Tsundere or cliche and that is refreshing to see in a manga.

It's actually not that great of a manga, but it's still a good read. The point i hate is how everyone suddenly changes after meeting mei, but aside from that the art is pretty good and different from the usual (especially yamato which doesn't look like a typical main male character), and the romance in itself good.

I had thought that this manga is already finished. When completed the first 4 volumes that I saw that is still ongoing...
But about the manga ... The art is kinda good, being started in 2008. But nothing suprising.
The story is refreshing in a way that it is not cliche. And not predictable at all.
I like that not every character stays in the story some goes and comes. So the story telling is good.
Of course the main idea nothing special. But the mangaka tells in a way that makes it special.

Keep waiting for where will it go the story...

the main good point of this manga is that the two main characters are waiting to have sex with eachother because they cherish one anouther. especially with a lot of peer pressure and sleezy friends. the main character is learning how to be in love and have friends. the main guy is a typical school prince/model. (you know the basics haha)

there are some smutty scenes with side characters, but its not like hard core or anything.
its a nice read over all.

I love this manga. It's truly one of my favorite mangas.
Plot is great! It's not fast, not too slow. Just right. The messages in the story is really cute, but realistic. Perfect. This manga really gets you in to the story.
I love Mei, she is really adorable. Yamato's a hottie. But I think he could be considerate of Mei a little bit more, you know? (:
Art is great. It's not too flashy, not too plain. Love it (:

It's special in the best way. I feel like all of it could really happen, even though at the same time, it just looks like an amazing dream. Not all the characters look alike. They're unique and so are their personalities. I only wished that I'd waited for the series to finish and scanlations to complete before I picked this up. I so want to read the rest right now. It's a got a beautiful slice of life feel going for it now and the pacing is just right. I like how it's realistic in the way that it doesn't drag on the "oh my gosh, I have a crush on this guy... but I won't tell him". They start out pretty quickly which is pretty typical these days. They don't fall hard right away. It's a process and seeing the characters and their relationships with each other get deeper is my favorite part of this. Of course, this series has the elements of a typical shoujo too. It's just that the balance of everything put together makes the series so addicting. Give it a shot. It might seem typical, but it's not.
