Description

Onani means masturbation. And that's what this guy is good at. Every day after school, he sneaks into the mostly unused girls bathroom on the 3rd floor, and masturbates. Until one day, when he's caught by a bullied girl with a hidden agenda.

A truly unique take on a slice of life, school life drama. This story shows you both sides of the persecutor and persecuted then takes you down the path of growth towards maturity. The character development is way above par and you'll find many well rounded characters in the end. Pretty cool story, an absolute must read.

I'm at one chapter of finishing up Onani Master Kurosawa and I can't wait to say this but: What a Great Manga!

I can't believe I enjoyed a manga about masturbation so much; it's just beyond what I expected of it. The psychological level handled in this one it's just marvelous and unbelievably original. My hands were shaking sometimes, my heart skipped a beat...it was a short but an awesome and extremely intense story. Seriously, I can't believe I enjoyed this so much; loved it all!

I wish there was more of Onani Master Kurosawa!

Try it. Just try it. It's not just a cheap thrill, this is a real masterpiece. The author's other work Molester Man is a great read as well (don't be put off by the name of that one, that one has even less to do with xxx stuff than this one does lol).

It's not really an ecchi manga, but really a coming-of-age story. I urge you to read the first couple volumes before you decide whether or not to give up on the series.

ok i wrote this comment after reading chapter 16:

chapter 16, we get to know takagawa's true feelings, and the favor from kitahara. the favor was really expected but, just wow, making it happen really felt different.

from a male's point of view that's really a huge heartbreak

also, feeling disgusted about

fapping to a girl you like is just so true, especially at that age. boys may be generally horny beasts but when it comes to the person you love we really have so much respect.

gosh im only at half of the manga and i feel like reading this is one is such a memorable experience

now i finished reading it:

so i said a while ago, i thought takigawa's "true feelings" was takigawa liking kurosawa. i was dead wrong. it hit me like a truck, that kind of stuff really happens. "Mistaking her kindness for feelings of (even a little few) love", ive had my fair share of that from real life experiences. Sadly, seeing takigawa and nagaoka together was painful. Makes sense that Kurosawa's heart broke down. after that part, the story went darker, although i kinda didnt like that part, esp when kurosawa did those stuff to takagawa. It doesnt really justify a broken heart.

Then comes the most exciting events in the manga, our main character saw that work by takagawa, and he entered "shounen" mode. He manned up and faced all the consequences of his actions. Yeah thats the "shounen way". And i was really happy, but it didnt stop there. There's still the Kitahara problem and i have no idea how it will be going to resolve. But im pretty sure, the main character will go "shounen mode" again and help the poor Kitahara. So yeah he did it and manga ended. Kitahara gets the most of my sympathy the whole time. Although help came in really really late, she deserved that kind of happy ending. So now everyone happy, and Kurosawa gets a bonus chapter.

Your average Harem Ecchi Romance heroines have nothing compared to how cute, charming, and lovable

Takagawa and Sugawa are. Seriously they are the ones who deserve "waifu" titles haha.

I Was looking for a mature/ecchi/psychological/Romance manga. Then I found this, so I started reading and it sucked at the start (just some middle school kid jerking off in the girls toilet... but then the plot thickened and I got interested. just not to spoil things; you will experience extreme sadness up to anger, jealousy and enlightenment. A must read!

A rare "good" doujinshi

I think it is a very good manga, aside from its intentional ploy to be contextual. Lovely characters (well, at least personally), ranging from lost-in-deep-thought quiet, sick young man to a vengeance-obsessive reclusive girl whose both personalities somewhat finds connection in secret, from cheerful and persistent (or maybe ignorant lol) guy friend to mysteriously high-spirited girl whose picture keeps the balance of the life of the title character. I love its honest approach towards the issue of isolation and how it handles its characters without blaming them on their own free will. I think the best part of it is its climax, as twisted and unprecedented as life can be, which refers the whole story into kind of realism. Many thanks to the scanlators.

Better than expected

I began reading OMK with extreme caution. I had no intention of reading it all the way through if it was only about a middle school student getting his kicks; though it took a while, he began to become a character with some depth. What made me actually consider reading it was, 'This is a story of mistakes, redemption, and the choices made in between.' And it was about that and emotionally growing up.
It may start out as a B-class perverted manga, but eventually OMK became a saga I'm glad to have read.

Caught Me By Surprise

I thought I'd just read the first chapter just to see what it's all about.

Few hours later, I'm done.

What a manga. As a girl, seeing some young teenage boy fap to really sick, perverted illusions of girls is a far cry from something I'd want to read about. But the character development he goes through is excellent, and the lessons he learns are something that the protagonist of any regular run-of-the-mill harem manga would never think to learn.

Recommended.

Good, but could have been better..

I found the story quite good. I never expect it contained so much drama the first time I saw the title. However it could have been better if..

that Kitahara chick confess to the other students in their class that she's also a partner in crime with Kurosawa. Rather than just watching Kurosawa shouldering the blame alone, she should confess too.
She said that she's not that strong compared to Kurosawa, but I think if she ever confess, at least the bullies know whatever Kitahara and Kurosawa doing was actually an event that occured because of what the bullies have done.
Throughout reading this series I can't help but wonder when will Kitahara grow some backbone and help clearing the situation she put Kurosawa in, or fight back the bullies rather than inflicting pain on her own body.

Still, this is worth reading.

Struck a chord

This manga really isn't for everyone, but I think it definitely has an audience that will identify with it and really appreciate it. Personally, I loved it, but I'm a sucker for coming-of-age, Catcher in the Rye stuff.
I'll start with what I didn't like. The beginning dragged. Granted, the beginning needed to be long because there's quite a bit of exposition and buildup, and I can't recall any particular chapter being totally useless, but the beginning was pretty long and unrewarding nevertheless. Also, the protagonist's turn-around is pretty darn quick, and his (eventual) maturity is more similar to that of a high school or college student. I get that middle school is a time for change and development, but Kurosawa's development was unrealistically fast.
Now, the good. The climax of this manga is just so good. The problem with a lot of narratives is that characters don't face the consequences for their actions. Kurosawa is a different case entirely. On a related note, seeing him realize that hating the world doesn't make you superior; it makes you miss out really hit home for me. It's just such a great realization to make, and one that I think is pretty appropriate for his age (again though, not a huge fan of how hyper-maturely he handled himself post-epiphany). Finally, despite its pretty outlandish premise of two outcasts being jizz terrorists, Onani Master Kurosawa does a really great job of dissecting of very real concepts such as loneliness, social isolation, and the human condition in an understandable and relatable way. Onani Master Kurosawa's strength is that it makes you think and reconsider your perspective, which, to me, is enough to warrant a look (just remember to trek through the beginning and get to the climax--so worth it).
