though i reckon their activity is a bit too intense, their relationship is very cute. it look real and there is no pretension. i should get off my butt too! i do wish i'm able to get my hand on the others in this series

I second all these comments.
Finally i get to see a good story, most slice of life stories are, with normal characters, real emotions and educational and inspirational value. The friendship bond between both characters feels real and truthfull. You feel the characters.
It's not angsty, it tells you that it's not about the looks, and it manages to provide a light take on obesity.
Most of all you feel that this is an honest and solid piece of work, not like a lot of pretentious stuff you see around.
Please let there be more stories like this one!

This really teaches you to not judge anyone or anything by outer appearance but to give them a chance to shine and that everyone has the potential to do so. The story's message is flawlessly being conveyed to the reader through the artists way of telling the story and his drawing style. It leaves you more satisfied than some series i've read while considering it being a one shot. Definitely worth a look!

This is great, the author was really thoughtful in the way she handled obesity and how it effects teens at school. A very good read for when you want to read something short, cute and inspiring.

I found this when I grew sick of cliched shoujo themes and I'm glad I read this. It's tone of realism reflects the fact that it's seinen and the theme used in this manga is expressed delicately too.

this is so nice!!! its so realistic and i can also related becaue i did most of it when i was in fourth grade i mean...welp...this is just so nice!!! i can really relate...gotta say... im touched!!!

I'm a sucker for things like this, sadly to say the ending made me all happy teary eyed. Speaking of which, I need to loose some weight, where's a retired judo champ when you need him?

And I'm pretty sure taking hot baths increases your metabolism, steam rooms at spas do the same thing. No 100% but...

Does bathing really speed up your metabolism? I don't think so..... anyway, it's a great short story about the social problems of being overweight and also overcoming your problems.

i really loved this one shot. it was something that i could relate to so it really did strike a chord. and like BimboSilly mentioned, the characters are'nt the usual super cute and super hot guy.
also, the dramatic scenes in the manga were made so to create a positive experience for the character.
this manga is a definite must-read!
