I really like this and find it fun and interesting to read so I was sad that it stopped but also glad, it was a lot to read and I'm usually not the type who want far too many chapters and over 100 is a lot.

so I managed to finish it from the raw version, I didn't read everything chapter but read some near the very end and the ending romance wise is quite unsatisfying because they don't start dating, they don't even confess as all they say is that if they dated someone they would not mind each other but that for me isn't good enough in this long manga as it should at least have some satisfaction to all the readers that manage to finish all those chapters, fine if you're looking for a comedy as it is very funny and i sometimes look back on some jokes but I was personally looking for a romance.

Damn! I really loved this manga. But its end was so disappointing.
His whole story seemed to me astonishing and amusing. Sunako is perfect, different from the great majority of the protagonists of shoujo. She deserved more! I do not ask that they have sex, but it deserved that we saw their overcoming to the love, before their traumatic experience passed.
Come on! It was 15 years! We deserved at least a passionate consensual kiss! Throughout history he kept us on the cusp of adrenaline, to only let us fall against the pavement with that miserable end.
I am very sad 🙁

It's a one/two volume story that was dragged out to 22 (and counting) volumes and it shows. The author basically took a somewhat unique concept, and dragged it out for every little thing it was worth. It's like the 'simpsons' of shoujo manga. Readable and somewhat interesting in the beginning, but dragged out so long that its almost become a parody of itself.

And you can say things like "oh, it's the comedy that makes it fun to read". What comedy? After the first few volumes, the author ran on empty on plot and comedy ideas and has been rehashing the same tired jokes ever since, and once in awhile to spice things up she digs into her big bag of shoujo cliche's and slaps some in.

This story needs to be brought to the back of the woodshed and be put out of its misery. Now.

I've been following this series on and off again for years, and while it's ridiculous that Sunako & Kyouhei's relationship still haven't gotten anywhere, (and that they're all still 15 years old even after a jillion Valentine's Day chapters), I've grown to appreciate it just for being a funny and entertaining slice of life-type manga. As long as you don't start reading this expecting a lot of development on the overall plot, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Read the last chapter, after a long break from it, and I was disappointed by it. sighs. Expect a bit more than the same old stuff. Was hoping for some MAJOR development, but got nothing.

Awesome Manga

Perfect Girl Evolution is absolutely amazing.
Sure it's slow, but it's hilarious to watch how dumb the romances progress, and the pace totally matches the characters' personalities.

Maybe it's full of bishies, but that's part of the humor; the attitudes of the perfect school idols when they get home, is humorous juxtaposition.

Sure the main character appears as a deformed pudgy thing, 90 percent of the time, but it makes the 10 percent that much more dramatic.

Maybe it is repetitive, but it is always entertaining how the author comes up with new ways to turn Sunako into a lady, then cleverly snatches it away.

Sure the characters are mostly static, but that's because the change in them occurs out of the story line, like what we see in the random flashback chapters, and they do develp. slowly but surely, Ranamaru is slipping out of his playboy ways, Yuki is becoming more respectable, Takenaga has pulled his nose out of a book for once, and the 2 main have developed a cute relationship, understanding each other more than anyone else in the series.

Maybe you see cheap laughs, but I find it a humorous plot line full of silly mistakes, weird scruples, and constant entertainment.

And so what if it's sooooo long? are you telling me you enjoy it when a manga ends? I feel so empty once a manga I've been following for years ends. I always wish there could be more, so Wallflower makes me very happy.

I have personally read the series 4 times, re-reading ii while waiting for the next book to update, and I never get tired of it. I guess that means I'm easily entertained, but The Wallflower always leaves me with a happy feeling. You can't be glum after a good old fashioned trial and failure of the 4 boys turning Sunako into a lady. So that's my take on it. It has some silly faults, but the faults that turn some away are the same characteristics that drew and kept me into the series.

Im male...28 Years old and my favorite Manga include Change 123, Threads of Time, Shamo, The Breaker, and Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer....yet... I love this series. Sunako is almost everything Ive ever wanted in a womanwrapped up in a semi yandere package. Then they went and made it funny. Repetitive and slow at times but I just cant get enough.

I'm realy beginnibg to wonder wether Kyouhei and Sunako are gonna be a couple... I mean some hints and accidents did point out the possibility, But there's NO developement. It's as if they(characters) are in stand still. Yeah, sure, this is a comedy, But it's a LOVE COMEDY! Sooner or later some things have to change, and damn, I don't want to see some crappy hurried ending without definite conclusion.
I like the style, I like the art, but I'm worried about one of my favs going nowhere.

At first, I REALLY loved this manga. I'ts totally different of anything I saw before, and it gave me some good laughs.

But, you see, after 16+ volumes, there is no evolution at all in the story, just the same endless actions from all the characters. It is starting to bore me so much, that I don't think it's worth all the reading...

I really don't know if I'm going to continue reading it, but, if you're looking for a good comedy manga, It's worth a try.

Ready for an Ending

Started this series a while ago and it was just great. The anime for it is funny, too. I totally recommend the series. Its offbeat, dark, and quirky heroine, Sunako, will keep you laughing and I love the reaction of those around her. Unfortunately, after 28 books, the series isn't really bringing anything new to the table. And, when things start getting too predictable, it's time for me to fold up my tent and move on. It makes me a bit sad when great ideas/stories get dragged out like this. It does the characters a disservice, I think. They're good characters and deserve a good ending and closure, as do the readers! But, beginning this series, yeh, it's worth it. [catch the anime, too; fun viewing!]
