Story = Unigue ( 7 ), sorcerer/witch with a gun and not stick
Art = so-so ( 6 )
Platform = Magic, Magic Crime (Ghost Sweeper Mikami for best reference)
Char. Devp = ( 5 )
IMO, its trying to be rival of GS Mikami. But failed, cause for creating a new type of the world it need strong development on the background of that world first THEN the main story.
And it's not even funny.

Unfortunately, I have to completely agree with poiso (the reviewer below me).
At first I thought this was going to be a very generic manga: pure-hearted boy and tsundere girl fighting evil. But thanks to this duo, their relationship, the emotions, the great artwork, really great design of monsters/gods and the action, I grew a strong liking to this manga.
...But then at one point, I just felt like they were just procrastinating and procrastinating the ending, adding unecessary elements that felt crowbarred in, unimportant stories - especially about other couples, plot elements I hated, and at one point I even felt like they overused the cute-girl-cries schtick.
Really great first arc, but unfortunately very dissappointing after that, in my opinion.

Great and touching first arc, plot coherence dies after that

The good: Art is very nice throughout the manga, main cast characters are interesting and often touching. Character emotions are relayed very well to the reader most of the time. Brilliant end to the first arc. Action scenes tend to be just right in length and impressively well drawn.
The bad: Plot coherence collapses after the first arc, and manages to keep on worsening all the way to the end. Massive overuse of undead as antagonists. Much of the cast that shows up later in manga is utterly forgettable. Ending is cringeworthy at best.
The ugly: Time travel as a plot device with plot holes larger then universe itself detracts from enjoyment significantly. Suspension of disbelief suffers significantly from "deus ex machina" moments that become abundant towards the end of the manga in desperate attempts to patch aforementioned plot holes.

I took my time pondering if I should read this series or not. Oh boy, I'm glad I did read it through. I don't regret it at all. Even though there's up & down ( well in most other mangas too) but this series is damn solid for me and satisfying. It really bring a whole lot of different emotion in me lol. Anyways, just give it a try and read it. It's either you love it or hate it ! Well for me it's a love & hate relationship haha. Now it's time to look for another series similar as this (I hope).

LOTS of ups and downs... i had to put this down many times out of frustration but i persisted and was pleasantly surprised that i was satisfied when it was over. the ending wasn't perfect but it wasn't bad either. also i hate the island prince guy who becomes kurohime's fanboy, i was wishing every time i saw him kurohime would tell him to go screw himself and stop thinking he's so special and had a chance with her after "zero" who's the real man and only one deserving kurohime's affections, died/disappeared.

Definite Re-read Material.

A simply amazing read. I felt that there was a bit much.. flaunting at times, but it didn't really take away from the experience.
Alright. The time travel arc. If you don't want to nitpick to any significant degree, it wasn't sub-par; it just wasn't on-par with the rest of the series.
The story really hit home for me, which is why I give it a 10 (art improves chapter by chapter as well).
I just wish it was longer. Few loose ends/questionable ending.

Just like everybody else said, i thought the start was a bit shaky, but the first arc as a whole was amazing. But i thought that zero, as a character, becomes less and less likable after the first arc. The beginning of second arc was alright. Reading time travel arc, however, was very frustrating. And just as the manga start to move toward the end, it got a little more interesting, and i was prepared to give it something between 8.5 - 8.9. however, the last chapter, particularly the last few pages, made me feel betrayed. I was like, seriously? That's the ending? It was unexpected in a very bad way. It upsets me pretty bad.
The art was good, interesting how the heroine looks different all the time though. I don't really understand the point of that. It's like she's been drawn by different artist or something.
The plot up to the first arc was amazing, after that it wasn't that interesting.
The romance was alright. The action was great. And the ending was attrocious.
It was an okay read.

This was one of my favorites until I hit the arc where time travel came into place.
The plot becomes increasingly hard to follow to the point where you have to wonder what the heck happened to the author. Its like he had a clear idea at the beginning then went through a lobotomy and picked it back up.
Overall a good read until the aforementioned arc.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I felt almost betrayed by the author. Once time travel started happening the author was basically like, "Remember everything you JUST read? Well it was pretty much pointless and misleading. You know that main character? Yeah, well not only is he dead but he really isn't Zero."

This manga started out as one of the best things I had ever read. The first ark was amazing and the beginning of the second ark was still great. But then all of a sudden the story just starts to take a dive once they get to time travel. It's almost like someone else entirely wrote it. If I had known the second arc would've ended like that I'd have just stuck with the first arc. I do suggest reading it, but well just don't expect much from the end.
