Description

In a world teetering on destruction, humanity's only hope is becoming stronger in a mysterious tower offering four modes: easy, normal, hard, and the brutal "alone mode." To be fair I had given it an 8 and there were lots of nice parts. It's on the rare side of series thatactually sets the scene, toat alone makes it deserving of at least a 4.

In case you missed the setting like skynet5c, easy mode players exited the tower first (after exiting you couldn't gin skills and since everone wanted to go back the didn't go into enhancing their skills al the could) and even though were also the first ones to die one of the main plot points is that the harder mode players were supressed for most of the time by the rest since they were outnumbered by normal mode and there was more infighting before the MC'sregresion.

But as it's going on there are just too many skills, and the premise of him working to completey them falls appart with all the gods giving him so many freebies and most rewards enhancing the existing skills. ust by the seer apount of players that survived that are stronger than the first regresion there should be some that discovered or created a new skill.

I mainly lowered the score from 8, because I think the time skip is long overdue. The lak of tension is too big, and such a simple series should delve deeper in the real organisation they'll leave in the real world. It doesn't even make sense how the guild of sin suicides against him the could just do the opposite if they really want him weak (killing all the mobs and other stuff so he doesn't get exp).

All in all just like a free mobile game it tries to rope us in with the gratifications of stats going up, more skills instead of mastering them like the title says. Once you understan the plot is barely moving just branching out ou realise that there is no plot at all since 90% of it are just generic stories that give him on object or a skill at the end.

I'm not sure if I skipped it but the trascendentals/gods were supposed to be cloned on each alone mode and werent aware of the copies, the lack of explanation of when they be intervene, ambiguity ad how they ignore the premise of not gining skills outside the tower hurts the plot even harder.

most badass ,cool 😎 mc with op cheats but also very skilled in every field of skills, magic to swordmanshipin every field he is amazing, And if you like to see 🙈 a dummy, pushover mc then don't watch it😤 ( only for haters)but if you like what I said first. *Then surely watch it *

The art is trash. Plot and setting offer nothing unique.

If you're going to be making a cookie-cutter system manhwa at least let it have ONE unique aspect. Bffr.

Questions and Plot Holes?

It's rare that I start questioning the story so early. I easily lower my standards of plausibility and become immerse when I'm reading fiction. But not in this case. While there are more chapters available, I decided to stop binging the series after chapter 61. None of the questions/plot holes have been answered.

For example,

In the very beginning, it seems like a player had completely cleared the labyrinth and was able to return to Earth for the first time to witness its apocalyptic new setting. However, in later chapters, there's a whole arc where all players from Easy, Normal, Hard, and Solo mode are allowed to return to Earth for a short defense quest. So... what happened? The player seems completely shocked to see Earth in this state of destruction, but in the defense quest, Earth was already infested with plenty of monsters.!<

Maybe later on, this hole will be filled, but 61 chapters in; nope.

After the protagonist beats something that he previously beat in his previous life, we the readers are always shown his thought bubble where he thinks back, only after so-and-so times or tries, did he barely manage to beat this thing in his previous life. Always the word "barely"!<

That may have more to do with the writing or translation. It got boring. Repetitive. Each chapter is long at least. Still would not recommend.

This series suffers from "MC syndrome" and an absurd set of coincidences that leads to that outcome. The side characters are irrelevant cheerleaders who struggle against monsters that the MC slaughters en masse. As to why that's the case, Solo Mode and its quests require an unrealistic start (which the MC gains before regressing in time).

The entire premise is generic and boring to begin. MC is somehow the only guy who thinks of trying different things to earn skills? The Easy mode is supposed to be co-op mode with other players playing with the MC. Nobody else saw the MC try weird things to earn tons of skills? Nobody else who was in Easy mode saw how many skills the MC had and asked him how he got it? A lot of the skills are obtained by just doing stuff that anyone can think of. It doesn't make sense that only the MC is capable of thinking of them.

I've read 30 chapters so far and it has been really bad. MC is the only person with a brain, everyone else is an idiot, the other Hard mode players are completely reliant on the MC, as if they have no brain. But the story itself so far also has been completely boring - just a guy speed running through levels, every chapter just shows how the MC uses various skills to kill monsters...it's really boring.

There are way, way, way better regression-tutorial-tower type stories out there. The problem with this manga isn't even that it's generic - generic isn't necessarily bad. The problem is that it's boring - nothing interesting happens, it just shows the MC beating up monsters in the tutorial. That's all there is. There are no interesting characters, everyone else is completely brainless and either there to get face-slapped by the MC or there to be helped by the MC. MC is the only person with a brain. It is very boring.

The main concept is generic but it has many original elements. The characters have depth, the art is good, the power system is consistent, and the world-building is explained very early and clearly. MC is written well, no cringe stuff, and no unrealistically stupid people. The pacing really impressed me. It is slow at first and explains many things, later it speeds up and doesn't bore.
