Description

hey first of all i put that as my title because it is the reason ive stayed away from this manga and to clear things up with others so they dont stay away for the same reason is that i thought it was a yaoi (gay) manga and im not into that. Even though it didnt say yaoi, with all the "good looking" main male characters that out number female i thought it would end up that way but im glad to say it didnt (no offense to yaoi readers) . any way my review:

This manga is one word amazing, the art is spectacular and is really cool in fight scenes. the art does change a little later on but its nothing to complain about its probably good to give the artist time to make more chapters faster. the story is really good even though it does some times take time to develop and the characters are made really way (i ignore the kids because there irrelevant to me) all the nobles have cool abilities and appearance, there are a lot of unique enemies and in particular the best characters of course are rai and Frankenstein (but i really like Regis and Seira too) Rai is immensely powerful and is really funny when hes viewing the world and Frankenstein is powerful too and i love when he puts people in their place. all in all i recommend this 100% and my only problem is i want a little more chick characters for the guy character but any way worth the read and keep reading even though the beginning is kinda slow

A manga with ELEGANCE.

This is the first time I've rated a manhwa/manga with a perfect score 10. I've been reading mangas/manhwas for years now and been giving them a rating here in mangaupdates and to other sites and I never gave and even seldom rate some 9. But when I started to read Noblesse, I felt enlightened. I've found a manhwa with a story that I felt the same with the story I used to create in my mind. I'm very delighted! I love everything in this manhwa! It's perfect! Especially, Rai. HE'S THE MOST ELEGANT PERSON I'VE EVER KNOWN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! Ugh, I think I'm in love with him.

Anyway, this manhwa is so amazing and I won't get tired of reading it over and over again.

Still love the plot and the characters, but I really hope the art returns to its previous glory >.> Before the 1-month break it seemed the artist acknowledged the complaints about artwork, but nothing has changed 🙁

OMG! I think i see the name Lee Gwang Soo (LOL), The 1st time i read it, yeahh it's Lee Gwang Su, but maybe different name in 'Su' (i forget too hehe).
what i want to say is, when i read it, i think its Lee Gwang Su in Running Man, ahahaha, speechless at d 1st time .
and then i tried to see the info of the artist, but its different person hahahha

when i read the artist name, i wanna try to read it 1st. i hope that the content not make me dissapointed ! 🙂 Fighting both who make this manhwa!!

Entertaining...but way overrated

The story is simple, which isn't a terrible thing, but don't expect anything particularly deep. Typical tropes abound, making enemies into friends, etc. For most of its run its been pretty much monster of the week fighting stronger and stronger opponents. Shounen action junkies should love it. I think it took the authors a bit of time to figure out where they wanted to take this story and actually develop one. Once we started to get close to the 200 chapter mark things started to develop, still it was a long wait. The art has its problems. For example, some of the characters have shadows on them, but they cast no shadows themselves. This is basic stuff. When you only have some of the panels colored, but lets say not the floor and of course no shadows the characters will look like they are floating. Someone seems to have discovered the blur tool in their image software and lost control. Everything in a background should not be blurred. Also some backgrounds jut into the foreground and if you blur that the result is that you have a sharp character that looks flat against a blurry background and some blurry foreground as well. Please use some restraint with that blur tool, you are overpowering your art with it. I could go on and on about weaknesses in the art. Their primary strength seems drawing bishies, which I must admit looks good. Some of the humor is entertaining, but very light which is a good way to describe the series. I think its a work in progress and the artists will undoubtedly get better considering how much work they are putting into it. Its light entertainment and fun entertainment, but nothing that deserves a 10. That's way overrating it. Right now its average maybe 6 to 7.

Noblesse grows on you...

I recently started reading Noblesse and I must say I am addicted. The art definitely gets better as the manhwa progresses and the story is developing nicely, though I must say at a slow rate. I agree with many of the reviewers that comment on Noblesse's slow pace. Even though I finished 238 chapters worth of the manhwa I feel that the story has just started to pick up. Character development also seems to be lacking now that I think about it, but I guess more than the main character developing, his already complex character is slowly being revealed? Though it has some faults there is just something about this manhwa that compels you to continue reading.
Also, the jokes in this manhwa are truly funny. I definitely had a good laugh throughout my time reading Noblesse.

Its Good but ....

Its awesomeness is wearing off, when they started again after the one month break the story background was awesome, to come back to present day with a different angle was too soon.
The same cliche battles, I want Rai to be beaten or someone to power up or something dramatic to happen.

Its still an awesome webtoon, but.... its like at 8.93 on a scale of awesomness out of 10.

I understand Noblesse might not appeal to everyone, but the large number of votes and 66% all 10s speaks volume. With 1463 series read and reading, Im pretty sure I know the standard between a good, great, and epic manga. So chances are, you will love Noblesse

I say, if you haven't read Noblesse then you haven't truly read manga

I am trying to figure out what the whole appeal is to this series...it truly is very simple.

The plot isn't really intriguing; it also felt too familiar, not entirely unique enough.

The male leads are painfully bishounen. Maybe I am just too old (Who knows, maybe I would have liked it back when I was 16?) but it wasn't for me. These guys are very sparkly emo pretty with eyeliner and piercings.

I will say that the art can feel quite fresh, much dibs to that, it's not like others. But sometimes the scenes can be tiresome or too "empty", and there are plenty of them. I agree with Ibleda about the webcomicy feel about the whole thing too.

I wonder if maybe the series was created to dip into a hype - offerring prettyness and a cliched storyline, thinking this was enough for a particular type of general audience. In a sense, dumbing down on purpose thinking it is for a dumbdowned group of readers. Which, in context, should feel a bit insulting.

If you do want a light, temporary and colourful read, then go for it, there is no harm in that. But if you are more interested in more a intricate, original, mature, and detailed plot with truly complex characters, reach for another series.

Additionally, if you are also a grown adult, reach for another series.

I'm sorry, but it is a bit overrated. I know some folks will likely feel all heated, defensive, throwing the usual silly "Haters" line, but have to say it like it is. (Funny how some people can get all fussy because others have legit opinions on why they don't like something. People who have read and disliked Noblesse have moved on with their lives, surely the fans can do the same thing instead of complaining or insulting)
