The manga starts off very well and I loved the mystery, thriller elements of it and how it involved yokais. I also liked the characters and how they react with the curse, so I was expecting many chapters of horror and chilling panels.. instead it devolved into a mess bringing characters you don't care about and the main characters spiraling down in development and the plot becoming more and more nonsensical until I couldn't stomach it anymore

When the plot started out, it was between a group of friends. It was mysterious, creepy, and often, some of the characters' logic either evolved or devolved as the story progressed. This was a great element as you can tell how characters chose to accept their fate or fight against it. It was nice to see a different range of reactions to this "curse". Even the plot twist about Hikaru, the MC, was quite unexpected but something I welcomed.

The only downfall, in my opinion, was the inclusion of a "global catastrophe" which I thought did not transition well into the story...and was quite possibly the mangaka's terrible attempt to elongate the story. It could have been left out entirely and the manga would have still been very good. Originally, I would have rated this manga a 7/10, mainly because the generally story was decent but the characters are nothing special and memorable, so I have dropped it to a 4/10. The generally global catastrophe was nothing more than a terrible cliche.

This manga is still worth a read if you are absolutely into thriller and psychological genre. But don't expect a mind-blowing ending.
