One of my Favs right now

Summary: <This one really takes long to get rollin'.. like a late bloomer! But once you give it a (long) chance, the story starts to change drastically. Yes it does have some jokes that are a bit too far fetched and there are many chapters on the way that aren't all that exciting, but once you still give it a chance it will surprise you!>

It's a bit like a roller coaster.
First it's very interesting, then it get's really funny. Then the jokes got on my nerves because they were the same all the time. But then some things in the story started to slowly change, I think (if I recall correctly) you need to get past 60 or 70 chapters for it to start changing gradually and you will suddenly have that "oh my gosh!" moment. And then some of the jokes get you rolling because that's just the way the mc is (I really accepted her as a person). And it starts to get very interesting how the story will unfold.

Funny and refreshing at first, becomes stale. I really despise the MC

I picked this up because I heard great things about it. I am now 60 chapters in and I'm calling it quits. I get it's supposed to make fun of shoujo tropes and such but after so long it's like beating a dead horse.

The art is odd but pretty in it's own right. Although I feel the quality went down considerably as chapters went on. Plot isn't new and that's part of it, it's supposed to be like other you've seen. Then you read it and it makes fun of every trope out there. At first it was refreshing, the humor was pretty natural and didn't seem forced either. But like the plot it becomes old real quick. It feels like the author ran out of original ideas to make things funny and it eventually resorted to 'quirky' type humor. Ew.

The biggest gripe I have is the MC.

From the beginning, I didn't like her personality. She reminded me A LOT of the MC from "Kiss Him Not Me" but worse. She's so tunneled on seeing this romance blossom and getting her popcorn to watch that it becomes annoying real quick. Whenever it strayed away from that (i.e her book/fans, interacting with her 'doormat'/any character 1:1, etc) I enjoyed the story much better. But then she pulls this 'I'm so quirky' card during scenes and she goes from having a fairly enjoyable conversation to full-on cringe-fest. Her reactions can be so outlandish that it becomes more irritating than funny. If she were more grounded or someone else entirely I would've stuck with this title much longer.

I enjoy this. It's really light hearted to follow this main character. She's funny.
the only problem is the world building. I'm confused with how exactly magic works in this world since there seem to be some odd elements to it.

romantic parody with beautiful art

This is the most realistic version of this trope I have ever read. If the main character is such a fan of this story she's in of course she would fangirl over everything like that... I love that she basically tsukkomis all of the cliche scenes she witnesses, but still loves watching them. Yes there is definitely romance in this comic no doubt, but the overused cliches that happen in the background "main story" are always pointed out very sarcastically. And even though the main character sometimes finds herself in these cliche situation it almost always turns into a comedic situation.

I wouldn't call this a true satire since it doesn't really criticize the genre, rather it subverts it for fun and it works. Nothing is taken too seriously the few important situations have more weight.

Also even though this is very comedic and there are chibis thrown in the general aesthetic of the comic is beautiful. Would recommend.

(The only reason I'm not giving this a full 10 is because I still don't know how the romance will play out, if it doesn't end up being very cliche I will update my rating to a 10, I believe in you author, fighting!)

Comedy

It's mostly comedy. The mc would probably be us poking around the scenes and characters to have a good laugh at the stereotypes present in stories like finding that one girl interesting because she wasn't interested at you at first site or encounter when a character is in danger after innocently trying to help a bird.

There was a scene which shocked me since this is a comedy

showing how the duke felt with all his crazy stalkers, because men also suffer from such harassment. I was touched how the author casually slipped this to remind us that THIS is how crazy "fangirls" look like while obsessing over someone.

There is romance. Yes. Just really slow burn
And I dare say

Hilarious MC

Funny MC gets reincarnated (as usual isekai villainess type) but goes off the other route and IT'S FUCKEN' HILARIOUS.

The boys later on get background stories and I gotta say, the duke and wizard are getting their character feel more developed. I understand more why the duke doesn't like girls in newer chapters lol.

... it makes fun of the clichés of this genre a lot. The quality picks up after a while. Art wise it always looks good but the more interesting character interaction happens later on.
Got some really fun moments and the main lead turns out to be quite likeable. It's a slow burning series so read at least 20 chapters to be sure about liking it or not.

This webtoon is so funny. If you have been around the block on isekai manga/webtoons this is a breath of fresh air because it makes fun of all the tropes (reverse harem, dense girl, love at first sight, evil anti-protagonists) I love the art and the heroine is pretty good.

All in for the comedy

Ok, this is a weird one, at first I thought it was crap, it was just extreme shoujo, all the cliches of the genre at max level with an over the top principesque and fairy art style. Fortunately after 5 or so chapters the manhwa gets into it's rhythm, and after having laid it's foundations it throws all seriousness out of the window and goes full parody and comedy. I usually don't like stories that don't take itself seriously but when done to this level that all is there for the comedy I'm ok with it (if its funny I mean). The author doesn't forgive anything if he can make a joke of it and I think it works well and it's quite funny too, it was a bit of hit and miss at the start but I had some good laughs as the story picked up pace.
Story-wise, there ain't much there but there is an overarching story there, a subplot of sorts, which progresses slowly along the more episodic comedy. Still, there are only 56 chapters so I'm not so sure where it's going though I could make a guess.
Chars are also caricatures of shoujo cliches, starting with the MC that's a shoujo novel hardcore fan who takes this so far that even when reincarnated to a world inside a novel, she uses all her knowledge of the novels she read to enjoy the drama live. Same for the male leads, "look at me, I'm gorgeous, I'm the center of the world, oh someone has not fallen in love with me at first sight, I'll make her Ofu! at me no matter what!" that's the prince... "what, you don't know me? the center of the universe? inexcusable!" that's the Duke (also, has woman phobia except for the original heroine). The two more interesting characters are the original heroine and the mage, she because there is something behind her "perfect act", him as a sort of anomaly in the storytelling.
Same goes for the art, that fairy style is also used to further the irony and there are myriads of deformed faces and bodies, at times quite funny.

So not for everyone I guess but I would recommend anyone who gives this to try persisting till ch 20 at least. For me it has been quite funny so far with some boring and some hilarious moments, think a shoujo version of "My brother has a pit on his head".

Romantic comedy with emphasis on comedy

It's quite tongue-in-cheek, and makes fun of a lot of "isekai" cliches that are very common these days. It's a great read for some light-hearted laughs.

The set up is that the main character considers herself the "bystander" in a world where there is a "heroine" and three ridiculously handsome "love interest" men. Unlike many other series that have a "bystander" main character, this one actually maintains her "bystander" role throughout much of the series. She does not suddenly steal the affection of the 3 men from the heroine. She does not meet some mysterious 4th man who steals all the spotlight. She seriously spends much of the series watching the "plot" unfold, while getting mixed up in it in some pretty hilarious ways.

It's actually quite interesting to see her relationship with the other 4 characters (the heroine and the 3 love interests) develop. It's not just cut and dry "the men fall in love with her, leaving the heroine all alone." It's much more than that. And that's why I appreciate this as a series.

In case you are here for romance, though... fear not! Romance exists. It's just a REALLY REALLY SLOW BURN.
