There's not much plot to it at all... but most yaoi are like that, you know.
And for those who complain that this is "cliche." Gosh, most manga out there are of cliche themes--and not all of them are yaoi.
Cinderella story? Small and effeminate uke? That's typical yaoi manga. It's kinda sad, but really good ones are hard to come by.
I could understand a bit why some comments seem upset over the obviousness and cliche-ness of the plot, but ... erg, don't trash this just because it's filled with cliche, yea?

In my opinion, this manga was a good and fast read. It has all the elements to make it a better and longer manga, but unfortunately it doesn't go more than 6 chapters (5 chapters + extra). I do agree with the other comment that the story, especially the relationship between the uke and the seme could have been elaborated more. I thought it was just cut too short and at a weird place...
Just like I said, it's a sort of cinderella story themed yaoi.
The uke is small, effeminate (but not overly so). Very kind. Cute. I thought the uke was really cute and lovable. I didn't mistaken him for a woman or anything like that.
The seme is handsome, perfect, princely in everyway. But he has trust issues and is cold.
...It's very hard not to spoil this. I bet most of you guys reading this would probably guess the plot already. haha.
There's not much, if at all, real comedy in this. But it's not a serious manga either.
It's a romance story--like most yaoi are. So... yea. Expect lots of blushing and sex.
The sex: graphic, but not 'hard core.' If you read this in mangafox, for the sensitive ppl out there, be warn that there's no censor (no white strips, if you know what I mean). It wasn't overdone and tacky. It kept things sensual without revealing too much.

I'd recommend it for anyone who's looking for a fast read.

Oh yeah, the art.... ohhhhh the art is exactly my type. I totally love love love the art. So nicely done. Clean, well drawn, hmm mmm! But that's just me though; everybody has different perception of what's considered "good art." 🙂 ) I think imma rate this a 9 mostly just because of the art, lol. 🙂

i will only say this--> check out the "legendary grape tree" 30 pages from the back.... it's an actually tree. i mean, let's say that i accept the fantasy theme (including the royal gay marriage). is it a part of the story the fact that grapes come out of trees and not from vines 😕 i still can't stomach it, so i'm going to rate the manga poorly, though the story is a slightly bit better than that.

This is truly a very bad story. Too much irregularities in the script, the characters have no personality, there is cliché over cliché and even the sex isn't that good.

The uke is a poor little boy bought to be a bride, he has no spirit and doesn't even try to fight. On smut time, he's "spilling" FROM everywhere and he nearly has BREAST.
The seme is a cold prince with a complicated past, overly jealous and violent.

This story could have been much better if only they could have take their time to elaborate everything. I won't recommend it to anyone. There is far better manga to read.

ps : I can't stand manga where rape is treat like a "normal practice" in sex and where love bloom even through the violence.

i have to admit, this manga was pretty cute and all. however, it really irked me that not once did the prince acknowledge kairi as a man. he was always referred to as "bride" or "wife" or "princess" IT PISSED ME OFF!! i HATE it when the ukes get overly feminized like that. plus, in the extra, kairi could have very well been a girl from the angles it showed the love scene DX anyways...personally i would have enjoyed the manga a lot more if a couple chapters had been set aside for the secretary and the king :3 or the entire manga!! the little snippets that you got of their story were BY FAR more intriguing than that of kairi and shou....plus i preferred the secretary as a lover of ukes that actually look and act like men XD

I thought it was cute. A little rape never hurt anyone... (at least in yaoi.)
And to find out there's an extra! WDF?! >_< I didn't notice Dx. Anyway, I could read this one every flippin' day. I don't mind feminine ukes, I like mean semes; it was perfect <3

I thoroughly enjoyed this manga, the art was amazing and the story had its merits. However, it does have moments which are unpleasant (rape and general emotional torture). I think the story could have been a little stronger in places but i was otherwise very happy with the plot and the development. I had a few small biased issues with some of the characters though coughshoucough

I enjoyed it and i'd give it an average 7 or 8 out of 10 perhaps. Also, according to a few websites there is going to be a continuation of this series. There are a few images floating around already and a very generalised synopsis available - how accurate this may be i'm not sure.

Excellent Fantasy!

I really enjoyed this 'adult' fairy tale. Yes, it has fantasy rape/love, but it's very exciting and plays beautifully into the story. The art is amazingly vivid, especially the eyes. The flow of the drawings and movement of the characters across the scenes is just paced with a perfect rhythm.

The only small issue I had was the 'rushed' feel to the end, but it was minor; it didn't stop me from throughly enjoying this yummy little treat of uncontrollable emotions on the Prince's part and the sweetness of the young man who becomes his wife. There could have been another chapter in between the non-con and the consensual smexy times, where the couple has a bit of angsty reconciliation.

Still, if you like fast-paced stories, with many tropes of yaoi, and a hint of the fairy tale, pick this one up! The art alone is stunningly pretty.

hehehe. i really liked this mangaa.. :3
its really deep. there is a rape scene but if you understand the story, you realise that the prince had so much burden and pain locked up, it wud have been weird for him NOT to rape the cute guy.

the ending was adorable!!! haha mann they are two good looking freaks ;P
i was just surprised that it ended just there. oh well.

there are lots of good looking guys esp the uncle and the present king ^^

please read! in my opinion it was a great yaoi!

Uke was too girly it could have been better if he was a real girl.. and his fiancee calls him his future "wife" like he was really a girl 😛 It's very disturbing.. what's the point of reading yaoi if it's gonna be like this.. The only thing that made me read it was the art (not the uke but seme and his family was awesome^^)
