The smut is great, I love the art (incredibly cute Chibis), and the story is compelling. They are both insecure, toxic, selfish jerks... I guess they go well together. The communication is often frustrating because they project onto each other and avoid hard discussions, but they always end up working things out, even if in a very unhealthy way. It is very well done for what it is, and the little pockets of fluff are a nice breather.

I can't believe you can find this level of introspection in a yaoi manhwa. Both male leads are crazy in their own way and their relationship is dysfunctional as heck, borderline toxic, but it fits them. And in this manhwa, their thoughts are at the forefront. They love, they doubt, they think insane bullshit, but in the end it's really about both of them being dishonest with each other and with themselves. I'll go as far as call it one of the best in inner monologue and introspection I have seen in any recent work.

Their relationship is highly toxic (at the beginning and in the middle) and is something they both know and acknowledge in each others POV's chapters (Point of View).

I love the Side Stories Afterwards version because they act all cute with each other so honestly, if their the toxic relationship deters you at the start, the final stories are really worth it because their relationship does have development.

I just wish Jaehan (the bottom) communicated their feelings more effectively..... but because of the way he was brought up and not wanting his pride to be hurt it led to more complicated situations even though it did get solved eventually.

This story really reminds me of BOSS, BXTCH, BABY! only in the sense that both tops are similar and actually help the top to change.

I think I can recommend this series if you are okay with a functional dysfunctional relationship (with great payoff because the epilogue side stories are incredibly sweet and they do have a very positive happy ending.

Art wise I think the expressions could be worked on much better? I felt their expressions throughout the main part of the story was so static and stiff at times.

The main character is very much a bad guy, he is cruel and does terrible things based on his whims simply because he can. But, they definitely acknowledge this about him and that he's a terrible person instead of just ignoring it. It is considered and then weighed against feelings and the feelings win out, instead of merely swept under a rug.

The love develops over a rocky period, both characters find themselves a bit obsessed with each other and interacting in unhealthy ways as they are drawn to each other.

I was a bit ambivalent over the ending until I got to the side stories where it briefly covered the seme's point of view of most everything we had just read and I found that it fleshed out the ending much better than if it hadn't been added.

The art was decent, pretty passable, but I found myself annoyed by a couple of small things that kept popping up. It wasn't enough to say the art was bad, but I found it lacking at times and wish it had been made after the artist had refined their style a tiny bit more. Overall it was nice, I liked the character designs for hair and eyes personally.

Lots of violence, be warned. Almost all of it is from the cruel uke, he definitely hurts people suddenly and with little warning. Sex is the idealized version of dubcon, it's all rough and often with little to no prep, and at least twice the subject of sexual assault is explicitly addressed and swept under the rug.

Overall a decent read, just don't expect a traditional romance drama.

This is no ordinary love story, there's a lot of drama, misunderstandings but everything looks more realistic than in other stories. Nothing is rosy, nothing comes easy, both MC try to navigate in a world which isn't going to accommodate their wills.
It's an excellent read and concisely narrated.

This isn’t a typical love story. I love how complicated the start of their relationship is. The story was very interesting and kept me coming back. Now that there’s an official English translation I’ll be reading that as well. I’m really loving the side stories as well they are adding so much to the main story line. I don’t like it when it’s a great main story and then you introduce a huge life event for the main characters and even though you know it was all worked out (I’m looking at you “Here you are” side story 7) your left to wonder how. Especially since by that point you’re invested in the whole thing. So far (currently at side story 4) that hasn’t happened.
