From Matteiru Scans:
The events of a schoolgirl's sixtieth birthday.
Kisaragi Sumi continuously took care of her grandmother, father and mother until she turned 60 years old without ever falling in love. lovely story with good plot

Stories about de-aging while not an uncommon theme in overall media, it's a rarety in manga so it's was, for me, quite surprising. The main young girl (or old lady) is a darling, and the story is well constructed with a pace that is great and engaging. It was wonderful to read so far how she is living her life in this modern world, without forgetting her vast experience in a life that was hard and sad but never made her bitter. What I liked the most was how the supernatural was present on her daily life, enhacing it and making her human experience more worthwhile.

I think this manga has great potential. Pity I don't know japanese to read the rest.

I think the Art Cover is just stunning.
Love the genre, Josei.
This is just not typical. It's gripping, you can't stop reading it from chap 1 with the fantasy plot and the romance, also the way the characters develop their thoughts and feelings. It's slow, but logical.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
yes, Sumire san is sure a crybaby but for me, she is a loveable crybaby. That She cries for such little things does not show her weakness, but her softness and sweetness. She is a lovely kind lady who actually CAN spreading positivity. She is my favorite female lead.

And as many manga and drama male lead out there, Rei is hot.
I just wonder how he can be a boss like that, that's it.

I haven't read the final chapters due to the dropped scanlation. Anyway, i don't really feel the need of it because Rei's feelings and the manga's speed seem rushing at the end.

However, i think this can be listed into the 'Masterpiece' category. Not usual high school young dumb and broke love. Not the usual manhua with the endless family / palace drama and the chessily sweet boss- secretary love. But a very Japanese one. Light, and deep.

The actual point i'd give is 9, but i'll give it a 10 since i want to raise the rates

While not original, the story could be interesting and fun if it weren't for the characters...
Why does Sumire blush every second? Is this another 50th Shades? She is a 60 year old and yet she acts as if she were twelve...
Why is it kinda obvious she is going to end up with the black hair guy?

The art is ok

I started reading manga again after several years of self-imposed hiatus, and Sumika Sumire reminds me of how much I enjoyed reading manga after all these years.

A promising start of the few scanlated chapters available. Although age transformation is not a new recipe, but the pacing of this manga flows smoothly and realistically even with the supernatural elements. Sumi (and later on Sumire as she transformed) is a well-liked & sensible character, whilst the supporting characters complement the story. I am too lazy (as always) to find the raws, but I am hoping that (and seeing that there are 7 volumes and counting by the time I wrote this review) this is going to be a good read.

- Rated 9/10 based on the available scanlated chapters.

The characters are just so great, though you still could categorize them into the typical types. There's Sumi, the timid protagonist, Rei, the tsundere, and Yuusei, the kind and popular guy in the grade. Even so, their personalities aren't overdone at all and I guess that's why they stand out to me.

The storyline is also well paced though I wish Rei got some more development. The author might have done that on purpose though to make him mysterious. We'll probably find out a lot more later, I'm just impatient lol.

So yeaah, check this out everyone!

Change in art style!

I found this series by looking for other works by TAKANASHI Mitsuba sensei since I loved both Crimson Hero as well as Devil Does Exist. As of now (read 2 scanslated chapters and skimmed through raws) the premise seems interesting (although kinda weird lol), but it's the art that's stopped me in the tracks. The art is a far cry from the likes of Crimson Hero and Devil Does Exist! Moreover, the art style seems quite similar to Chihayafuru's... in fact the girl Sumi reminds me of Chihaya, while Mashiro seems quite similar to Mashima Taichi! Does anyone else think so too?
