Maybe it was the scanlation but I immediately dropped this. There is too much going on in a single page and more over, there is too much dialog. I feel sad that I couldn't get into this because I want to see how the characters will develop but I feel a manga with so much going on inside the panels should stay animated.

i love this manga so much. i love the romance between Haruhi and tamika and all the other characters. You see the characters' different personalities and how complex each person is (even the twins are different, thats hard) hehe ouran ftw!

Watched the anime first and enjoyed that very much though the ending of that was only semi-satisfying. The manga, on the other hand, is always full of hilarity and some great plot twists here and there. The current chapters concerning Hikaru, Haruhi, and Tamaki are quite exciting.

This manga is definately refreshing, the arts nice the story entertaining. But the only thing that I'm still waiting on is just a little<<please just a little?>> romance from haruhi. So far it seems as if she's not interested in anyone, even though others appear to be interested in her. Argh when will she start to like someone too? Sorry it's just I'm a sucker for romance. Lolz....

Honestly, when I first watched the anime, my opinion of this series was generally under "cheesy" and "just for laughs". Apart from the later episodes, yeah, the anime is just pretty much that. However, the manga is another story (no pun intended).
When I read the manga scanlations, I realized this series had everything, comedy, slight romance, angst (thankfully, yes), and from our favourite hosts, of course, numerous pretty boys with hints of loli-shota romance, shonen-ai, and not to mention several crossdressing occasions. Thrown in with okamas, this series has basically everything a fangirl could ever ask for! This, of course, has in turned appealed to almost every audience, thus its popularity.
The manga is tilting towards a relationship involving Tamaki and Haruhi, but given Hatori's style, anything could happen. It's also interesting how every host has taken a liking to Haruhi in a light more than "just friends", with exception for Honey and Mori. The cutest couple in the series has also turned out to be the wisest and the "all-knowing". What a twist!
A must-read, definitely worth a peek, if not a long stare. Reading the scanlations of the original manga by Bisco Hatori is a must!

Well i finished catching up and it makes me feel sad that the anime had to make up such a scean. I am a Tamaki x Haruhi fan but it leaves so many questions. Even Kyouya got involved in this "relationship" (sorry if i spelled his name wrong). I love the anime cause its entertaining and beautifully done but i love the manga cause its mroe compleat now just waiting for the next chapter.

If you are into something dreamy like with a simple brainy girl this manga will whisk you away....and make you wish you went to that school too...and had the scholorship...and was that lucky and smart. XD

I may have started with watching the show but I have to thank the very existance of Ouran High School because it is what got me into the world of manga and j-rock. I dove head first because of this series! Thank you HATORI Bisco!

i personally think the manga is a lot better than the anime

The best feel-good manga out there
Period

This seems cliche on the surface but it is executed flawlessly. Great style and humor. The anime was cool too.
