So, I was expecting to dislike it from the very beginning. I didn't like the art on the cover, the story didn't catch my attention, it started in a way I didn't really care...so the only reason I kept going was because where I found stuff about this manga, it said it had some angst (which I adore).
I was totally wrong.
Not only this one was great, the story surprised me a lot.
Although it is the common "childhood friend turns to lover" kind of plot, the way it is developed isn't what you would expect and it's not without a lot of suffering that they get together.
It wasn't as fluffy as to give you a sick feeling, it had just the right amount of cuteness and some hurtful moments.
The art also gets better as chapters go on, and once you get used to it, you start thinking it is cute.
I was in need of something sweet and pure, since I've just read Minami Haruka-sensei. So I think the fact it was shonen-ai actually helped out a lot.
Although I missed a deep kiss or a proper "I love you" from Chihiro, that's what the sequel is for (although I've only seen the raws) - but don't expect much more than kissing.
Keigo was a character that grew in my heart. At first, he was just a crybaby (which Itotally hate on semes) with a kind personality. But he turned out to be jealous as anyone else, perv and everything else you would like. Just like a person in the real world.
I can only say that my heart was racing along with the characters' (especially when I though, every time, that theey'd finally get together)
