It's a very disturbing but very addicting read. Art is fatfaced but okay. Wish someone would continue the translation soon..

a aristocrat goes to a marketplace in the red light district and ends up buying a beautiful mixed blood girl. He takes care of her and decides she is going to end up being his sex toy.. She tries robe her own person but attract sexual attention from all the men she comes in contact with. He also gets lots of attention from woman and she gets jealous. He pretty much has sex with her all the time and abuses her all the time. Last chapter her mother dies and she is having a hard time letting him touch her. But he ends up kinda raping her again and she goes back to loving it?!

A surreal love

This is akin to Haou Airen, a stormy and fiery romance. Although Shinju is bought as a child, her romance with Shiren takes place when she is a teenager, so this isn't a case of pedophilia. The art may be inconsistant as Shino sometimes is drawn with breast and at other times isn't but that is likely done for modesty sake. This isn't a consistant rape relationship either, as Shinju ardently desires Shiren. There is a lot of sex but most is left up to your imagination, and the essance of this story is truly heartwrenching and meaningful, once you look past the age gap.

I see many people have commented their shock over the amount of smut and the treatment the male lead gives to the heroine. If you are not familiar with sensei's work then i suggest something else first and then reading this one since...perhaps something from Shinjo sensei since the smuttiness is somewhat similar although the drama is higher. I particularly enjoy this manga and have sort of become addicted to sensei's work but the ending left me scratching my head and had to go and re-read the series Kindan to make me feel better.

The art is correct and the story is believable but not for the reason you may think. Is it a love story? Absolutely not. This is a story of human exploitation and manipulation.

Even if Shinju expressed her love for Shiren multiple times, you have to take into consideration that she has been groomed from the age of about 9 (since Yuuki who is 14 said she is as old as him) to have sexual intercourse with him, to be easily aroused as a result of daily sexual acts, but also to fear him, his punishments and to see anything happening to her has her fault. She has been repeatedly raped daily for 5 years, by a man who had absolute power over her, with no where else to go. He had absolute control over her education. She is not educated to take care of herself and is thus dependent on Shiren for her survival. She received daily physical punishments as a result of minor offenses in order to condition fear as her natural response. When she is later raped by someone else, she is afraid to talk to Shiren about it, rightfully so as he is quick to make her feel guilty about it. Every act of kindness he shows toward her is quickly followed by an act of cruelty. It might have a dramatic edge to it that can makes the story feel deep and romance-y for some but we see the patterns that abusive caretaker inflict on their children in order to blur their perception of what it is be loved and cared for (you wouldn't call a man raping his daughter a romantic relationship, let alone a man raping his slave). The fact that Shiren was traumatized as a child doesn't make his treatment of Shinju right nor does it make his love genuine (although it can explain his irrationality).

There is no romance here. Grooming and child abuse are not romantic.

Well, if you hate smut, then you can skip the pages. Although, I doubt you'll be able to understand the story without them. (most of the chapters focus on smut) Honestly, the plot isn't all that bad. The drama's good and their character was understandable. I don't think I can say that the story is realistic though. The girl is wanted way too much, for her childlike body.
Anyways, it's not really all that bad.

This manga thrives on rape & child sex, with explicit scenes reminiscent of Mayu Shinjo's Love Celeb placed in a historical setting. As a reader of smut, I'd say I was still somewhat shocked though not in a negative way. Expect to be anything but bored.

I am not against smut, but I am against rape and pedophilia. If you're wondering what this manga about, it's about those two points. Art is okay imo, but the story disgust me.

plus the girl is already trained to become masoshist and every man that meet her wanna rape her and she didn't reject them, eww no no no I'm torn between pity and hate towards the girl

Still Can't Do It.

I read a side story to this yesterday, and I opened this one not realizing it was part of that one. I wanted to try hard to get over my bias and disgust with loli/shota, so I went for it. The last story, I couldn't get past 8 pages. This one, I actually got up to chapter 8 (Hooray for improvement!), but I don't think I can finish.

In fairness, the art is pretty nice (though I hate those lines through the faces for blushes, especially on the girl. Ugh. so... many... and the leading male's face is shaped oddly), and the story is sort of interesting, but it felt repetitive. The smut was lame (I read lots of hentai/smut/ecchi, so I know my stuff and this wasn't very impressive to me), and the way he treated that kid made my flesh crawl. I just didn't want to spend my entire reading experience wanting to punch anyone in the face...

So, for me, this wasn't that great of a read. I won't whine about the loli; I knew what I was walking into when I opened the door. But for me, it just felt like I was watching the same scenario over and over and over...

Dirtbag owner rapes kid. New dirtbag meets kid and wants to rape kid. Monster owner rapes whiny kid again. New asshead meets naive kid and wants to rape kid. Loser owner rapes brainwashed, spineless kid again...

Need we go on? I give it a 5 for the art.

This kind of plot doesn't surprise me at all. It may seem disturbing in today's context but it's fairly common in the old age. Women were married very young and are expected to have a child before their 16th birthday. Albeit it doesn't excuse Shiren's fondling of Shinju for nearly 5 years, which technically makes her less than 10 years old before that started, right?

The art keeps improving for every volume released. At first, I can't seem to like Shiren's semi-round semi-angular face.
