I'm not sure if it's just me but I never feel like i got sucked into it. I didn't find the main character very likable but thats probably because I am a very positive person and reading a story in which the main character is always sad and angry I just can't connect. It's a very gloomy, dark story. But don't get me wrong I was able to follow it and read it through to the end with out getting bored. I just feel as though my expectations were a little different after just finishing a comedy before reading this one. All in all it's a good above average manga. I wouldn't put it at the top of my recommendations but I wouldn't stay away from it either. In the end it really is the type of reader you are.

Mostly enjoyable

I've been following this for years and just finally finished and I gotta say, I'm disappointed with the ending.

There's an interview where the manga-ka explains where the story came from and it shows at the end. Something about the editor recommending doing a story about a threesome or some such. So disappointing to hear because that's not what you get out of this story throughout most of it. The ending is also rather up in the air. It didn't come off as realistic, just as the writer not bothering.

Still, it's an enjoyable ride, especially in the beginning. It's a bit stretched out, especially with such a disappointing end. But if you think the characters will truely confront themselves with the reality and hard choices that they have to make than just start crying and or laughing now.

There's a part of this story I still remember. Where the characters discuss why they broke up, and I've always liked that because who hasn't perceived a slight just because your friend(or whatever) was busy(or some other reason), and I could relate to when the girl sees her ex having more friends or seemingly not needing her as much. There's a few points like that.

This just makes the ending that much less satisfying. It's so hard when something doesn't end well. It goes back it points a dark cloud over the experience, especially when you're working off your recollections. Still, before that happens, it's good.

This was really good. I've been putting it off for a while because I thought that it would be boring, but it exceeded my expectations. Thankfully. It was different than I thought it would be, but not a bad different. I didn't mind the art like some people did. it was geared towards a more mature audience so it completely fit for me. I did like the story. I thought it was a good change of pace and as I and everyone has said, it was for a more mature audience. Oh and the ending. Seriously. More word!! lol

It's alot like Dance til Tomorrow, but with much better art. I found the characters very interesting. They're all broken in some way and help each other repair themselves.

I can't stand waiting for the scanlations >_< It's so good and makes me thirst for more! An excellent manga in it's own way, the story has great flow and I'm glad they hold back on the emo-level of the depressing scenes. Great softcore sex and what I find best about it are the characters.

..is the threesome. hella fun manga, best ending ever, if only we could apply this to Ichigo 100%

i really love Youko's character,

her loyalty to minori is a win win attitude for a manga like this. Not to mention she held it back for years, that mustve been very very nice after they finally did it. i dont really understand their breakup during high school, i hope the Baby Leaf manga will uncover more of their past.

Since I've read the prequel (Baby Leaf) beforehand, I quickly got accustomed to the characters and I just felt that things got wacky when two girls from different background get together. The character development is a bit limited to earlier volumes, but after the build up, the clashes come out one after another, the reader is always provided with things to ponder about. Although the personality of characters might somewhat be outrageous, the interaction is very well thought out and manages to create a suspension of disbelief.

The inclusion of sex limits the audience to mature readers, which I think is done on purpose, as young people probably wouldn't understand the thick romance plot.

The manga started off overwhelmingly great, I really liked the characters, I liked the fact that they were all quite broken in their own way. But seriously, what the hell. Lots of comments below say you need to be "mature" to fully enjoy this manga; but I honestly found how it all panned out outright ridiculous. If you really think this is the perfect ending to their situation, I'd say you're wrong.

Okay, they got so dependent on each other that they were a bit of a "package deal", but Ichika should have gotten "fixed" and independent. I found the ending extremely lousy, the last volume extremely frustrating. Oh well, maybe I didn't "understand" everything well enough.

I like this manga! Quite an interesting turn of events in the 2 volume. I think the characters are well developed, you can really simpathize with them on a deeper level. The relationship seems realistic and the characters are lovable. Also I admire translating groups that pick up jobs on their own, thanks for the work Hanashi!
