Hi,

I've seen many people list manga where a person has sacrificed their life, but I am looking for a manga where the character sacrifices themself, but instead of dying they are badly injured (they can heal over time, or stay disabled, either way).

Another plus would be showing the guilt the person who was saved has toward the person who got hurt.

Can be most genres

no yaoi, yuri, shonen ai please

Thanks

Fullmetal Alchemist
Berserk
Kokou no Hito It's at the end when he sacrifice some of his body part (I don't remember what)
Slam Dunk He damaged his spine while trying to play in a match (that counts as a sacrifice right?)

Sengoku Youko has a character which sacrfices herself,

she stops a huge boulder from crashing and destroying a house where a mother was delivering twins, but she loses all her energy in the process and turns into a lifeless rock to recover

The Legend of Sun Knight / The Legend of Sun Knight (Novel)

He masters the art of resurrection, but each time he saves someone, he has to give up something, like his eyesight. There's guilt from the people he saves as well.
