So, what kind ideas do YOU have for mangas? Plot and storyline mostly, don't really care about character development unless it's crucial to the story. Here's my idea for a romance manga.

Guy meets girl at their coed school during the opening ceremony. He's not a lame guy, or some nerdy wimp. Just a normal guy, no family problems, financial problems, etc. He falls in love at first sight. However, the school, even though it's coed, has a 70% homosexual student base, (A sort of school to protect homosexuals from bullies and the like, get it? Kind of like in those monster school mangas.) INCLUDING the girl he saw earlier. Now he has to try to get her to fall in love with him, but first has to get past her homosexuality.

One of my ideas, I'm curious to see what you guys will pull out.

Why to post your story ideas here? If you have common sense (which I doubt you have), you should know how much your story idea sucks, and that it's nothing original (just because you edited/changed few classical themes) Then again, if you know how to present things even a boring plot can become interesting~

Um, well, for a REALLY long time, I've been getting these weird, random story ideas and I kept thinking, why not make a manga? xD

But then...I remembered my drawing sucks.

But, my stories are kind of...original? I guess?

This one, I'm working on; it's fantasy, reverse harem, romance, drama blah blah blah.

A guy wakes up, no memories, finds himself in this never-ending alleyway. And he has this locket with a girl on it who he doesn't recognize. Then, as he realizes that someone is out to get him, he escapes by somehow blasting the walls and runs away and ends up at this crowded fair/amusement park. A commotion ensues and then, yup, he ends up muffling a random girl under a table in a cafe. Her bangs cover her eyes so we have no idea how she looks! ^^

Then, stuff happens that I can't reveal. People, don't you try ta steal this! I will sue!

I had a dream with an interesting story I'd like to read online someday so if anyone who's good at making manga and thinks this can be a good story please use it, I don't care if whoever turns this into a manga takes credit or changes one or two things I'd just like to see this as a good story i can read someday. (by the way I'm a guy)

I was a princess of the army of darkness, it started with me waving at my subjects (the undead) who were heading to my wedding ceremony by foot, then my parents came rolling over them in a carriage, both of them pretended not to notice(even those who got rolled over), I got in and we started heading to my marriage ceremony where I was to wed a prince, I told my parents during ride that I was in love with this princess less pretty then I was and they said I'd be more happy with the prince (they didn't care it was another girl, they liked fact it was royalty, they just didn't like that she wasn't all that pretty), after we were done I left carriage and enter'd a school bus where my prince was sitting waiting for his mother, they got on (mother and some relative who's a girl) and we started moving, the prince started to sleep and relative started hugging prince from behind while he was sleeping, I was pretending to be in love with prince so mother wouldn't try to poison me or something(she was carrying something creepy that beats like a heart), I was planning to either run away or say no right at ceremony so I could avoid marriage but that's when I woke up.

Umm.. lately I thought of a story of unrequited loves. Just character developments though.

There is a guy (A), another guy (B), a girl (C), and another girl (D).

1. A loves C but C loves B; B loves D but D loves A.
2. A confesses, C rejects.
3. C starts to see how much A loves her, and eventually falls for A instead.
4. A, having been hurt, starts to love D.
5. B confessed, D hesitates to reject because she knew that A (used to, but she still thinks A) loves C.
6. D finally accepts B.
7. Just a short time after that; A confessed D, not knowing B already accepted D. So A ends up rejected because D doesn't want to betray B. A is so painful.
8. B&D then separated. Since D really realises she still loves A.
9. C confesses to A, A rejects stating he can't love anyone anymore.
10. Messed up... I think it may end with nobody succeeds in their love lives. All has unrequited love.

Probably written before. Oh-so-Shoujo-pattern.

I have a 3" binder I have been filling over the past 2-3 years of manga ideas.

Will I share them no. Well somewhat ...
There's too many too share ( I believe over 40 ideas), and most have a pretty common story line to them. I know I can't make awesome twists and turns, or unique original concepts, but my saying is "Something old redone can be great if executed wonderfully". <- That's the hard part the execution. Also I don't want to share the ones that may be considered an original idea (Fear someone may steal them).
Until recently I decided to give up on making these ideas a manga. A) I can't draw for S***. Yes, I could always find someone else to draw for me, but I'm have high standards, and not sure anyone could handle me when I would want things a certain way. A sort of my way or the highway thing there .... B) I wouldn't even know where to start to try to get my work published. (Although this isn't that big of a problem). It's mostly the first reason of why I gave up, but I still want to get my stories out to the public. I just decided to challenge myself and make them novels. So in a sense I shifted my thoughts of making mangas to making novel. (Which there's plenty of obstacles on the horizon with this route). I digress ....

My manga ideas: (Well some)
- An Alice in wonderland spinoff
- A complicated love triangle
- A fairy princess and goblin king
- Two kingdoms, One good the other bad with a war between them of course
- A Stockholm syndrome story X2
- A Soul mate story
- A collection of short tragedies
See common story lines. About 97% of my ideas are Romances, some are Horror, few are Comedies, about half are Psychological, about one third are Supernatural, most if not all are Mature.

@Kitty18dnsz Lol, you sound exactly like me (including the mild paranoia). I'd probably really enjoy your stories someday. Anyways, I used to have random scraps of paper everywhere, but I've actually started transcribing them on the computer (and now write new ideas on the computer). Half out of paranoia and half wanting to clear out some physical space. Not to mention, some of them would be really embarrassing if anyone I knew found them out of context.

I do somewhat have the capability to get a manga done, but I've never really fell through with completing a written story or practicing manga-style art enough. This is what I get for being a realistic natural/landscape artist in my younger years. (At the very least, I wish I had been into drawing animals, but noooo, it had to be flowers, fruits and random buildings.) I'm overly reliant on photos and models. Drawing people just don't come as naturally.

BTW, to people who don't think they can draw, you can draw... someday. Amongst my all my friends "who can draw," the consensus is that constant practice over years is what makes an artist, not any particular talent. Of course, there are some people I admit will never be able to draw in a million years, but these people are pretty rare. Under the right circumstances, most people can pick up on "seeing" like an artist, how shadows/highlights work etc. I suspect the greatest annoyance among art teachers are people who don't follow or understand instructions well, hahaha. People have a tendency to draw what they think is there but isn't actually there!

Some of my rough ideas:
- Fantasy setting crossover with contemporary times romance adventure
- A "mostly good" anti-heroine dark urban fantasy (vampires, werewolves etc. in the city) romance action
- Parallel worlds traveling starred by a powerful antihero
- Trapped/survival in demon land
- Fantasy or contemporary thriller villain POV romance
- Time travel
- Contract with the devil
- Standard love triangle with some satirical comedy

My main manga influences growing up were CLAMP and Kaori Yuki, so yeah, I like messed up characters. Everyone must have a serious flaw!! Not too messed up, but just enough to be mildly unsettling. If my readers struggle with their opinion on a character or action, my job is done. Hahaha, I'm actually quite the sadistic author.

My current plan now is to either finish a novel/novella or get my art to my personal satisfaction level and put it out online. Who knows how long that'll take me, hahaha.

About a year a go i watch documentary about two most toughest prison in latin america santa martha in mexico and lurigancho in peru. in santa martha which has nick name "the university of crime" there are cell-block called "the hole" for in-mate who commited another crime in prison, in this cell block the prisoner were given less food, less water, no electricity and the levelof violent, rape and death rate is really high.of course there is occasional rape and violence throughout the prison but not as bad as in "the hole".

the second prison was lurigancho, the prison designed only for 1500 inmates but hold more than 10 thousands so the authorities have handed over power to a council of inmate leaders. there are 21 pavilions in the whole prison compound. Each pavilion houses about 500 prisoners and is ruled by an inmate who has inherited the position by demonstrating his gang affiliation, violent capabilities, money, and connections inside the prison. prisoners is free to roam as they please 24/7 selling drugs and alcohol. the saddest part is there are "outsider" prisoner, they are in-mates who got kicked out from pavillion because they causing trouble or get HIV virus, this "outsider" lives is hard because they got no food and protection from pavilion, so often they became beggars and prostitute to survive.

speaking of prostitute there are a lot of trannys in lurigancho i dont know why, maybe the goverment sent the tranny criminal to ease the tension in the prison, because there are a lot of turf war between the pavilion in 1992 in one day alone 146 inmates die because of war.

So i think we can make manga using this two prisons(merge as one) as the background, the time in the manga could be future japan or the original location. the main character is a LAWYER for drug lords who got caught and sent to this prison and we'll follow his story surviving in this prison.

List of the character :
1. The Lawyer, main character he was orphan, extremely smart, manipulative, pragmatic, sneaky, slightly arrogant, good looking, and was right-hand man for the biggest druglords in history. so he survive in the prison by selling drugs.
2. The she-male, the lawyer romance in prison ( i dont know anything about serious she-male character so you guys can help me on this)
3. The HIV, just like the name he got HIV virus an outsider once is full of live character but got really depressed after go to prison and get kick-out from pavilion. but still crack joke from time to time.
4. Scarface, one of the pavilion leader is young, brave, loud mouthed, funny in the cruel way, strong, little bit sentimental (okay this character is tony montana)
5. The leader, in-mates highest hierarchy feared by every one is former leader of the most fierce gang.
6. The sexual offender, the lawyer underling more sneaky than the lawyer and always horny for the lawyer ass.
7. The boss, is the lawyer boss

I divide the story to five arcs, this is the main story line :
1. is been 2 years since the lawyer became prisoner, with his brain he now is one of the biggest drug dealer in prison, he made several enemy with another drug dealer because his aroggance but nobody dare to touch him because he has connection to the boss. but every thing change when the boss get killed by the police, his supply of drugs is no longer exist and his underling left only the sex offender still with him. he think is only matter of time before his enemy got to him so he planned to atack first but in the end the sex offenfer betrayed the lawyer and got "rewarded"
2. The incident was caught by the leader and they're all send to "the hole". this arc is telling the story about the lawyer surviving "the hole"
3. After back from "the hole" with no money and support from outside of the prison the lawyer lives becomes very hard, after some incident he got kicked out from the pavilion, at this time he met the HIV and befriend with him. in this arc we follow story of the lawyer became an outsider.
4. while became an outsider the lawyer find out about his former boss get-away money hasn't been found and know the clue where to find it, he try to manipulating scarface so he can escape from prison.
5. War between scarface pavilion and the lawyer former enemy, The lawyer try manipulating the leader to join his side
6. Escape from the prison.

obviously my summary is missing a lot of details amd has several plot holes, but that's all i can think of.
the art has to be realistic and the character must have excellent character growth, the mangaka can add flashback story to all the character i mention above also the plot must have a lot of twist with several fans favourite character die i think scarface and HIV. im guessing INOUE TAKEHIKO or URASAWA NAOKI can make this work.

Boy studies at home, suddenly receives message in which a troubled person hints at suicide. The boy sends a text message and it turns out the other end, a girl made a typo when dialing. The two get into a conversation until 2-3 am.
The next day our "hero" goes to school visibly tired. Suddenly a girl bursts into the classroom, hugs him and addresses him as if they were BFFs. It is the girl from yesterday night, who turned out to be a sophomore at his school - quite a looker too. Of course everyone thinks, that they are dating and the rumor makes the boy one of the most popular second year student at his school.
- pretty regular harem shounen with a zero becoming a hero and his awkwardness about the change

2. The Sacred Virginity of My Little Brother
What would you do, if your little brother's virginity held magical powers and he had to "share" it with a suitable man, or he'll be succumbed by it in 2 years?
Well, our hero has to figure it out. Doesn't help, that his little brother is madly in love with the arch enemy's successor, who happens to go to the same school and is insanely good-looking...

3. Bloodthirsty
Hitler assigned a group of scientists to create vampire soldiers. A group of the scientists discover a gene, that is capable of mutating into the "vampire gene". The vampire gene is able to alter human anatomy and turn people into blood thirsty ghouls. Thankfully these ghouls cannot survive the quick dying of hemoglobin in their system but unfortunately they are able to transfer blood from their esophagus into their blood stream - through a special canal developing inside their mouth after mutation.
The project gets frozen - literally - after WW2 ends and the US takes over every inch of scientific data and the remaining test subjects. A slightly mad scientist however revives the German vampire soldiers in the future, after the funding of his own research ends.
Meanwhile a female Hungarian vampire slayer works for a vampire clan from Switzerland to downsize the number of vampire families, who aren't of noble heritage. During her work, she stumbles upon a couple of ghouls and rescues a team of elite Marines. Through the vampire slayer, the government becomes aware of the existence of real vampires and now seek their assistance to defeat all 342 ghouls...

Soo rich girl living with her mom(divorced and gave birth to the main character)in the rich part of the city with her new dad and the "perfect" life.That was mostly true until she started to read(hold on this going to be the main point od the story).As she got older her parents started to show there arguments more to her that botherd her and made her crawl up more and more inside and ahe starts to read horror stories.She starts to go to middle school there her only friend is a just as strange(everyone else thinks they are. Spoield eich brats)anyway they go throu life but one day a wae starts and she meets her real dad who gets killed in front of her that broke her and she killled the man who killed her dad tjat gave her a taste for blood and throue the corse of the war she kills more and more till she kill her mom step dad only friend and ultimatly herself it would be a horror/drama i was inspired by a book that does not have a eng translation (i borrowed the war and rich girl character)
