Lately I am liking Vampire stuffs, so I wanted some more titles to read. Of course I am aware that there exists a category for it, and there are similar threads as well, but I wanted to ask directly from fellow manga readers... titles which fits my requirements ^^

The manga should have strong plot/characters. While action is a good point, I don't want a manga of nonsensical action... In short, action is not necessary as long as the manga is really good. I am not looking for harem/gag series.

Pros:

Good Characters/Plot (A must)
Genius plot line/ Mind games (if possible)
Action (Optional. Not a Dragon Ball Z though)
Romance (Optional. But not as the main theme unless you believe I would like it)

Cons:

Harem/Gag/Sports
No preaching characters/ Annoying leads
Full slice-of-life
Yaoi/ Yuri/ Shonen-ai/ Shojo-ai
Not actively scanned

** Few Vampire works which I really liked: **

Noblesse It goes without saying ~<3 My fav. series! Just love the characters especially Rai 🙂
Blood Alone Another great series. Romance and Drama are so well done that it doesn't rely on action...
Dance in the Vampire Bund Another great work <3 Really loved it.
Shingetsutan Tsukihime One of the best Vampire manga out there ^^
Vampire Juujikai Didn't liked it to be honest, but there is a friend on MU who would be offended if I don't put it here 😉

Please suggest the best out of the best. As long as you think it's the best and believe I might like it, please suggest it ^^ Please check my lists as well ^^

Thanks 🙂

Trinity Blood

one of my fav Vampire manga. Seriously it just awesome. Try the anime and novel as well.
Good plot and character. It has action and romance. Well, focusing on the action more than romance but it has a good drama inside.

Hellsing is good too.

It's a rare sight for you to ask for suggestion. You did help me a few times in the past, so I would like to help you this time 😀 .

Kurozuka: a bit confusing at first, but later you will know what kind of story this series is, just like Hakomari
Princess Resurrection: if you like Dance in the Vampire Bund, you will like this series
Blood Lad: still on going though, but I sense a great plot here.

Almost didn't realize that it was you, pyonk >.< I guess I was too used to your Shinigami avatar and that awesome sig 😉

I was avoiding Trinity Blood as the one of the comment there said that it contained hints of shonen-ai >_< But seeing you suggesting it, I started reading it... So far it's good 🙂 Hoping there won't be hints of shonen-ai though >.<
Hellsing definitely seems interesting. Thank you for suggesting them 🙂

Haha, I do ask for recommendations in a while 😀 Thanks for the recommendations. I completed Kurozuka and it was good even though the end was kind of lame.
Princess Resurrection sounds interesting, and I have started reading it...
Blood Lad I kind of dropped it, but I have picked it again thanks to you ^^ Thanks!

Thanks for all the recommendations! Looking forward for more! 🙂

Haha, I got tired with that avatar and recently just found a new love (read: idol) so I changed it >_<
I too, dont like shounen-ai and always trying to avoid it, the shonen-ai hint in this series is not that noticeable or annoying (for me at least). I hope you enjoy the series 🙂

Already mentioned Shiki is the closest to what you're asking imho. Can't really add much more, I was thinking you could try Hekikai no Aion, but they're not vampire even if they share some traits. You could try it anyway if you run out of stuff. Incidentally, it's from the same mangaka of Karin which is a good (or at least above average) comedy series about vampires. Since I'm already rambling, I should at least mention Tokimeki Tonight, which is a classic rom-com shoujo of my era. 🙂

I usually don't read rom-com as the romance in such series is terrible ^^ But seeing you are the one suggesting it, I would have to give it a try! Thanks!

If you're able to read light novels, then I'd recommend Monogatari (Novel). While it does kind of hit sour spot of harem (Maybe? Araragi has a girlfriend, but still sexually harasses other girls), it does hit most of the points you want. It has a fairly well rounded stock of action scenes, and the Bakemonogatari portion of the novel has very well done romance scenes.

The plot is also well done, but not incredibly complex as to be convoluted, and it stays fairly consistent with keeping supernatural entities as the focus of the storyline. Parts of it are pretty philosophical at times, and the interactions between characters is usually done through exchanges of word games, subtle insults, and puns that can get you to think and stay entertained.

If you don't like light novels, you could always watch the anime adaption.

I like shonen-ai/yaoi, but I have never picked up any shonen-ai hints. As a fan of shonen-ai/yaoi, you'd think I'd be seeing shonen-ai everywhere. Anyway, if people are seeing hints. It's either because Abel teases Tres and says he's handsome or maybe Ion and Radu, but that was just bromance, and last I checked bromance did not equal shonen-ai.
Don't pass up Trinity Blood, it has a very gripping story, even though I must admit that sometimes some of Abel's ideology unnerves me.
