Hi,

just wondering if people here often buy or collect art prints whether from a store, online or from conventions? What kind and how big are they? What do you usually do with them? laugh

Also, I'd like to know how people store them and put them away (ie. not hang them on walls), especially since I'm planning to move and have some trouble how to transport them without creasing them too much.

Edit.

... By prints you mean? ....

I feel like I'm asking a stupid question >.< I'm not sure if you mean like art prints, or newspapers prints (Wait is that how you would call them?), or something related to manga.

.... confused

Sorry, I guess I should've clarified myself a bit better. I meant art prints as indicated from when I asked where people usually "buy or collect art prints whether from a store, online or from conventions."

I usually buy the occasional art prints here and there. Sometimes i'll get 4x5/4x6/4x8 (in inches). I usually just put them back into one of the shipping envelopes that it came from.
As for pretty large prints like 16.5x23.4, I also hold onto an old shipping tube (LOL, I'M KIND OF A HOARDER) but i've learnt about this trick, which seems pretty easy for storing future prints http://joodlez.tumblr.com/post/11123957721/people-dont-like-crea ses-in-posters-i-know-that
I've been sent a print this way, just with cardboard on both sides of the envelope as well. It turned out pretty well bigrazz

edit: argh, updating my grammar.

Thanks for clearing that up.

I picked No, but I wish I could.
No spare money to spent, and no place to put them ... I would want to hang them, but seeing as my kids are still destroying everything they get their hands on it would be a waste to let them sit someplace in storage.

Some time later I guess.

Can't say I am too interested in that. Depends on what kind of art though. If it's really amazing, sure, but I probably wouldn't dare to hang otaku stuff around. I only like cute things in secret.

I don't buy prints because I wouldn't have anything to do with them. I'd be more inclined to buy something with practical value, but truth be told, I typically don't collect anime/manga merchandise anyway.

I do~! I've bought a few from conventions. :3 They range in size, majority of mine are postcard sized but I have a few that are 8x11. I buy whatever appeals to me and usually do so to support the artist. I've also had some commissioned from my favorite webcomic artists. <3

I've framed a few of them but I really wouldn't recommend that for art prints. So if you want to store them and protect them I suggest putting them in print sleeves and then put them all together inside a binder. They are cheap and can be found pretty much anywhere you buy office supplies and the like. :3

Thanks, I've considered using binders for my smaller prints. But the problem is that most of my favourite prints are way too big for normal binders size.
