I'll stun you all with my immense manga collection of 1 volume
Actually, I have 3; 1 is romeo and Juliet in manga (which my friend got me for a birthday present, although proper manga would've been nice), 2nd is a tokyopop sneaks book which I got for free at a manga night I went to at waterstones in 2008. 3rd, the the only volume I actually bought, is the Princess Ai no. 1.
Behold! My manga collection.
However, I should add that just because I haven't bough anything (mainly due to lack of funding and the extraordinarily sky high prices of manga in English) I have read a lot. On the interent.

Well, I don't have a huge collection of mangas because I buy a lot of books (I'm a huge fan of Dan Brown, J.K Rowling and Louisa-May Alcott)

But when I do buy them I get them in bouts of three or four.

I don't have any pictures, so I'll post a written list.

Pink Diary - all 8 volumes in French

Mathilde - the first 2 books

Spicy Pink - only 1 out of 2 of the books because that's the most recent one I've bought.

H3 School - books 1 and 2 in French, I have yet another 3 to buy.

Black Bird - my sister bought me the 1st volume for my birthday on Sunday.

Global Garden - 6 volumes

Fruits Basket - ... only the first 3 books. --"

So I have a total of 23 mangas.
But I have plans to finish Global Garden, H3 School and Spicy Pink with my next Allowance ... smile wink grin

Larger versions: 1, 2, 3

242 volumes total. Every time I get a new volume, I have to rearrange it all so it fits perfectly. That's one part of my OCD I actually enjoy! laugh

My collection crossed the 1,000 mark a while back. I'm an obsessed collector. I collect other books too, so I ran out of shelf room a long time ago. Most of my manga is in rubbermaid containers and stacked in the closet, the corner of my office, etc. I read genres of manga that I would never touch in regular books. My collection spans a lot of genres, but I do generally steer clear of straight romance stuff. Not my thing.

@Dafat: Thank you wink

@Highwaystar: Thanks. Yep that's Memories of Her... the French edition (entitled as Katsuhiro Otomo Anthology). It's the same as Revilenigma has.

@Revilenigma: It seems we share tastes. Almost everything in your collection is on my plan-to-buy list. Especially those Number 5, they look awesome (but want to complete Samurai Bamboo first). Also any comments on Ushijima, from someone who (apparently) enjoys alternative manga. Been wandering if I should pick it up or not...

Anyway, my most recent order just arrived, might as well post it.

The early volumes are awesome, but later on not so much, it just becomes more of a realistic slice of life series about how hard it is to live in Japan and we see almost nothing of Ushijima and his crew.
Also the art gets so ridiculously bad, volume 13 was just painful to look at, I guess he's letting his assistants do all the artwork now. It goes from this awesome grungy almost dorohedoro like artwork to being almost looking like an amateur artist was trying to draw in "shojo style", very little backgrounds too but the worst has to be how he changed Ushijima from this inhuman looking brute to a normal looking guy.
