Hello there,

as always there are mangas which are ENDLESS (almost) and have different arc stories and some are very neat(sie[<is not a word i know]) close shut, and some folks may like to know if/which/when a story arc starts and finishes. Just added into the manga page, as an info.

If there is alrdy something like that just reply and leave me in awe of this awesome website.

This is my opinion that may be a solution to your question..

  1. The update must be first be updated in the origin, then it'll be updated to other countries. Meaning, that not everyone would know when it'll start/finish, because it's up-to-date with the news to transfer to us.
  2. Usually, most projects are dropped or incontinued by the author. So there's a 50/50 that there would be a another arc for some projects.

the issue is that you would have to do this for every manga (one-shots excluded) in the database. In addition sometimes it is not clear when a new "arc" starts, or if there are any arcs at all. There are also things like interludes (think big feast after big bad boss fight and the like), and I think there would even be some manga that change from arcs to fluent progression or vice versa. I can already picture some people arguing about when what arc starts or ends...

I don't think that would be a good idea, it requires much work and the benefit would be small and exclusive for those few endless manga that have such strict differentiation between arcs. As you said, some are very neat - but sadly most aren't.

To add a bit more to what Lorska said. There are even times when there's more than one arc going on. It's what you would call A arc, B arc , and C arc. Where the main focus is A arc, B arc is something on the side and C arc is barely there. Once A arc is no longer the main focus B arc is the main storyline, C arc is on the side, and A arc is barely there or a D arc is made.
Your not able to say this arc starts here, and ends here since they all happen at the same time.

I agree with Lorska it's not a good idea, sorry.

No problem at all. Good arguments are hard to tackle 😉

We could close this thread now...and got a great idea now for another matter thanks to you all (no irony i swear).
