There has been a lot of comments about the ending to the story. Particularly about her choice at the end. Recently I made a comment on how everyone who read this hated the ending so I just wanna see if I was close to being right 😛

Ok, here it comes the strange one 😛
The only reason i read all Hot Gimmick was because of Ryoki Tachibana. I know it's one of the wrost and most unpolite character in the world, but Miki Aihara drew him so well at the point i began to read the manga without minding about the story 😛
So i didn't really care of Hatsumi (even if she really is stupid 🤢 ), plus about the poor Shinogu (i think the didn't have a chance from the start)

. At first I was rooting for Ryoki. But when I read the last 2 volumes, I cant help but root for shinogu. Maybe reading Hot Gimmick S made me think this way (I finish this first before reading volume11 and 12) 😳

I actually liked the end. I'm fine with her being with Ryoki for a few reasons. For one, Shinogu will always be her brother even if it's not biological. She spent all her life thinking that he is her brother. You just can one day up and go "I'm in love with my brother". And for Azusa, I don't really think they're in love with each other. It might have been thought first crush stuff. And i think Azusa even talked about being just friends with her.

I was kind of disappointed that Hatsumi didn't grow more of a backbone & Ryoki didn't learn to be less of a jerk. HOWEVER - I really couldn't see her with Shinogu, since she'd thought of him as her brother all along regardless of whether there was a blood relationship or not.

The ending was okay:
Hatsumi's with Ryoki=YES! I think those two are good for eachother since Ryoki is commanding and bossy(not to mention he has liked her since they were kids) and Hatsumi is (mostly) a weak, pushover.
Shinogu becoming a monk=HELL NO! that would be such a waste. Shinogu deserves someone who loves him and I'm pretty sure that he would fall for someone if he gave it a chance.

why the stoy about the brother is inconcluse? wath about his relation with other girls? why the autor didnt exploited that?

the ending was alright, but i didin't like it that much, i mean at first (for some strange reason) i wanted Hatsumi to end up with Ryoki(that how u spell it?), but then i wanted her to end up with Shinogu, i mean he was so nice to her and all, he gave up so much just to be w/her...but it didn't work out. I still wished that she'd end up w/shinogu...but alas no 😢

well i really enjoy it.. the manga, and tachibana and hatsumi i love them together.. But this kid shinogu come one!!!! a monk 😕 ??

the probblem with the end was , that they put to much blah blah blah about the matter with their parents and at the end everything was 2 fast..
u know those kind of stories when the characters say some awesome things to fix everything.. that didnt happend..
i like it but the end.. 😐 🤣

I didn't like Ryoki. Please don't throw things at me.
I don't care how "lonely" or "in love" he was. He was selfish, controlling, and ABUSIVE.
Hatsumi does not make sense to me.

I understand that she could not fall for Shinogu because she always saw him as a brother. But honestly, he was the best guy in the series, next to the adorable otaku kid (ahh, what was his name?) of course ^_^ ugh. and I hated how Shinogu finished off the series. Monk?? wtf 😕 T___T

Asuza. u_u I loved Asuza, minus that "incident". I would have really preferred Hatsumi to fall back in love with Asuza, because for some reason, I really like his character.

I'm hoping that Honey Hunt will give me a more pleasing ending. I'm hoping for Q-ta and Yura ^__^

Usually I'm rooting for the bad boy because even though they appear to be mean, moody, cold and often abusive to the girl that they're after once they've gotten her they show that they can also be really loving and that they're not the jerks that they at first appear to be. Ryoki has no such redeaming qualities! Even after Hatsumi puts up with all the crap he gives her she gets nothing back This relationship will end in tears! (probably after Ryoki finally has his way with her as that seems to be all he's really interested in) Hopefully at which point she will realise what a fools she's been and will go running back to Shinogu who on countless occasions shows that he is always thinking of her and really does love her. (I'm sure given a little time she can get over the whole 'he was my brother' issue)
Even Asuza would have been a better choice. When he's not getting revenge by arranging gang rapes he seems like a nice guy.
I love this series, but I hated the ending, I mean Shinogu becoming a monk WTF!!!
After finishing the manga I had to go out immediately to buy the novel just to set the world right.
