Ok, so I thought to make a thread for recommending books.
(Like the looking for section, and recommend me some music thread ^^)
Please follow the instructions!
When you make a request:
-General Description of what you want:
-Genre:
-Books that fit that description:
-What would you exclude:
-**Some other notes **(?):
When you make a reply:
-First, Quote the user with his/her request.
-Then recommend.
-You can also give a short/long description ;3. (if you spoil, do use spoiler tags)
Mmm, am I being uptight with the rules and stuff?~
just wants it to be ordered...
So... Go ahead. 🙂
Edit:
I didn't mention it because I thuogh it was obvious... No asking for manga.
There is a forum for that here...
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

-General Description of what you want: Some thing simple since most books I'm reading now require deep thinking, and now I really want a chill out book. It has to be happy, go-lucky kind of book.
-Genre: Comedy, fantasy, adventure, family/friends
-Books that fit that description: I have absolutely no idea!
-What would you exclude 😛 sychological and intuitive thinking. 😀
-Some other notes (?): noooo

Well have spare time and nothing to do (it is only 4.36am in the morning ^^'), so guess i give this thing a try...
♦♠♦♠♦♠General Description of what you want:
Complete scanlated manga/manhwa. No crappy heroine or weak shounen (unless he gets strong later on, but then must not be harem). Something fluffy but deep. Some fantasy or powers would be good, and no highschool setting unless it is not focused upon. Romance related. Either not too much romance, or so much romance that it kills to read.
♦♠♦♠♦♠Genre:
Comedy, romance, fantasy, powers/magic
♦♠♦♠♦♠Books that fit that description (brackets are things i enjoy about them):
Hot Blooded Woman (Comedy, romance, fantasy, powers/magic)
Cat Street (Comedy, romance, plot)
Kare Kano (!!!) (Comedy, romance plot, character development, strong love enough to kill)
Skip Beat (Comedy, no-weak-heroine, some romance included)
Love Monster (Comedy, romance, fantasy, powers/magic)
Mx0 (Comedy, some light romance, fantasy, powers/magic)
♦♠♦♠♦♠What would you exclude:
Yaoi (don' get me wrong, i LOVE Yaoi and collect them (only $5000 collection in my room right now and buying more 🤢 , i download yaoi manga whenever it is released so Yaoi is my forte, so i don't need help with yaoi recommendations).
Hentai, Ecchi (ligh is ok, but something mid or heavy is a no-go), oneshots (i have too many of those already), weak heroine/hero, harem (only to an extend of 2 girls/guys.....ok, so that wouldn't really be calssified as harem then ^^'), horror, tragedy (especially tragic endings), and incomplete titles.

You're not supposed 2 ask from manga...

Well, Eragon is pretty good if u haven't read it already. I dont know what u really mean by happy-go-lucky though, no plot? This book isn't really heavy but it does have a plot.

-General Description of what you want: Something sad, tragic. I like books set during war. Or something about mythology.
-Genre: Don't care
-Books that fit that description: All Quiet on the Western Front, The Things They Carried, A Separate Peace, Kwaidan, Winter Birds, The Scarlet Ibis
-What would you exclude: I hate romance in my books. The only way I'll accept romance of any kind is if some dies in the end.
-Some other notes: I'd prefer something short or segmented.

I'm interpreting this as meaning light-reading since happy-go-lucky is kinda vague. Here are some of my favourite light reads to just chill with. All have a supernatural/fantasy element.
Artemis Fowl - Eoin Colfer
Dogsbody - Dianna Wynne Jones
Chrestomanci Series (start with Charmed Life) - Dianna Wynne Jones
Bartimaeus Trilogy (Start with Amulet of Samakhand) - Johnathan Stroud (These books are hilarious btw)
Alex Rider series (Start with Stormbreaker) - Anthony Horowitz
Faeire Wars - Herbie Brennan
The Divide - Elizabeth Kay
I read a lot as you could probably guess so I'll leave it there.
The pen is mightier than the sword...and considerably easier to write with.

Thread Of Grace by* Mary Doria Russell* would probably fit very well.
It's sad, tragic, has really little romance and occurs during WW2.
One of my favorite books... It's about 500 pages long, but it reads quickly.
Maybe The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.
Also tragic with no romance and is during WW2. It was ok. Readable and had a good ending in my opinion...
The City Of Theves by David Benioff.
WW2, tragic, has romance though, and some comedy.
A good book I'd say.
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

You could try the Xanth series by Piers Anthony. The books are generally light hearted and get filled with more puns as the series goes on.
The first book A Spell for Chameleon didn't have that many puns in it. By the time you get to book 15 The Colour of Her Panties there are quite a few puns. Book 13 Isle of View is itself a pun (just try saying it 😀 ).
The books contain some nudity, nymphs generally run around naked, but there's little sex. If there is any sex it's either non-descriptive or is replaced with an ellipsis (...) in accordance with the Adult Conspiracy.
I won't deny that some of the books are better than others, Golem in the Gears (book 9 I think) for example isn't one of the best, but I still recommend reading the series.
Lose - Opposite of win, to misplace something/someone. e.g. To lose your way, to lose a fight.
Loose - Opposite of tight. e.g. To have a loose screw, to loosen a jar lid.
^ Not just scanlators, but also company documents are getting it wrong now!

You could aslo add
Percy Jackson and The Olympians Series - Rick Riordan
The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel Series - Michael Scott
Both are enjoyable.
I know double posting is against the rules, but if I don't no one will see this.
-General Description of what you want: I want an engrossing book that takes place in the real world. I would like it to have a sigluar person telling the story.
-Genre: Comedy, Romance, life...

General Description of what you want: Something involving somesort of traveling, even for only a couple chapters. Its gotta be heart warming (Or, at the very least, touching.), or make me think about different concepts that I don't normally even give a passing thought, since they don't really apply to day to day life.
-Genre: Adventure? Donesn't really matter
-Books that fit that description: Xeoncide By Orson Scott Card, The Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean M. Auel , The Alchemist by I don't know who
-What would you exclude: Err... nothing? Doesn't really matter to me.

General Description of what you want: Something long, tragic, and will keep me at the edge of my seat with anticipation.
Genre: Mystery/Suspense
Books that fit that description: So far I've read books A-T of the Kinsey Millhone mystery series by Sue Crafton. I just finished reading Three Missing Boys by James A. Jack as well.
What would you exclude: Romance. A little is fine but I hate to find it in mystery novels.
Some other notes: I'd prefer it if the novel was told through a first person perspective, that being a detective, private investigator, cop...etc.

The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende
I guess it fits your general discription. It's partially first person (perspective kind of changes between several people) and follows a family through generations.
I guess there's romance, definitly life and comedy if you're a little sadistic.
There is a civil war and the consequences of the war are importan but there aren't battles and the like.
Can you imagine an imaginary menagerie manager imagining managing an imaginary menagerie?
