been a while since i last did a looking for post, so heres what i'm after:

i'm looking for cultivation based novels that are pretty easygoing, no major betrayals and things like that, for example (based on translated chapters):

Zhanxian (Novel) with this 1, the mc has no real bad moments for the mc or those he cares about, also with the romance aspect based on reviews i read on NU, the mc stays with his girls throughout the entire story, which i like, and the fact that they don't just simply instantly fall in love with the mc for no reason.

Another is World Defying Dan God (Novel) which based on the current translations is similar to Zhanxian, however again according to reviews on NU after ch 1000 it goes downhill fast and has possibly 1 of the worst endings in a cultivation novel which i really don't want

so basically what i want:
Decent MC - no pushover, but not excessively arrogant/douchebag
Strong romance - by this i mean, mc doesn't leave his girl/s behind, he isn't betrayed by them and they stay together from start of the romance to end of the novel, can also be a subplot type romance as long as it sticks to the requirements
mature - i don't want some pg-13 bs
Actively Translated/Complete - i want something thats actively being translated, or has already been fully translated to english, nothing worse than getting right into a story just to find out it hasnt had a new ch release in a year

don't want:
Netorare/Netorase - if you don't know netorare is where mc's girl is stolen, netorase is where mc pushes his girl to have relations with another man (netori is where mc steals a girl from someone else which i don't mind 😛 )
Gag
Oneshots - absolutely hate oneshots, especially the ones that leave you wanting more
Dark / Depressing
Psychological / Mind F_ck
Yaoi / Yuri
Shounen Ai / Shoujo Ai
Rape - with this i know in some cultivation novels they use "false rape" where its explained as the only way to save him/her so thats fine, just not the whole "she's hot lets drag her to an alley and have our way" kind
Gender Bender - its ok if its a girl dressed as a guy, but not a guy dressed as a girl
Gore - this is ok if its not too overly descriptive.

Ze Tian Ji (Novel)

Warning: The romance is important in the plot but also stays in the background for a long time in terms of character interaction.

This is mostly because they are in an arranged marriage, which is very important politically to the empire at the start but don't actually meet face to face until ch280+ even then, they don't realize who the other person is until ch500+

thanks, i'll give it a look, as for the romance, that's actually really early compared to a lot of other Chinese/Korean novels of this type, especially since a lot of them have 1000+ chapters before they even hint at romance lol

Douluo Dalu (Novel)
Definitely a strong romance. Great first half (when the MC is still young), kinda boring after this but still decent. Many battles are done in a team with the MC as leader and they were really well done.

Have you already checked some of the western takes on this genre?

Savage Divinity is an ongoing web fiction that fits all you asked, although a bit dark at the very beginning (and the Defiled are creepy). It think it's a decent one, although it lost steam for me after a while. There's romance but it's harem (with 2 girls atm).

Cradle series by Will Wight. Available in Kindle and paperback, with 4 novels already published. Good story with professional writing. The author's take on cultivation/xianxia is pretty cool. Highly recommended. If you like it, check also his Traveler's Gate series which I found quite good too (it's fantasy with some anime inspiration though, not xianxia).

Hmm. Spirit Realm (Novel) is something I'd love to recommend. However it does have it twists & turns. But it still completly fits your needs! So. Go ahead!

thanks, i haven't tried the Doulou novel yet, but if the manhua is anything to go by, i got bored after the first 100 chapters (might be because of the extremely slow releases, can't really remember), as for western ones, i didn't even know there was any lol, so i'll give them a look

Nevermind. Thought of another Novel that might pique your interest. It's called Primordial Blood Throne (Novel). Again. Romance is secondary but sweet.
