Ah! that's interesting... I didn't notice that!
It's funny to see that the more a genre is filtered, the more it is highlighted!
That just shows that some genres have a very specific viewership...
Well I for one don't really use the filtering system, or the highlighting system either. (Although with all those yaoi release lately... where they always that frequent??)

Yaoi has always been pretty frequent. I think I forgot to make a news post about those stats, sorry about that.

because yaoi fangirls are taking over the manga world. or at least it seems that way. 😐

Ohh-kay, dudes, it's time to show them all who are the real men in the house. I say spread and download yuri/shoujo-ai like some crazy fucks to supress this wave of yaoi. We fight fire with fire. (...or we fight homos with lesbians, you can put it this way too)

It just seemed to me that compared to my estimated % of manga readers interested in Yaoi, the number of release was way to high...
So either:
**a.**I reaaaly underestimated the number of Yaoi readers (the are probably not all fangirls...)
or
**b.**I underestimated their motivation and the extent of work they're are willing to do when it comes to Yaoi...
If it's (b)... then all scanlation groups should learn from them!!!

Now this is funny, i imagine myself explaining to my mom or girlfriend, that i am only downloading all this female on female porn/soft-porn to not let the yaoi fan girls beat us lesbian loving hetero men on the internet.
Who cares, let those yaoi fans take over the whole scanslation scene, so that we can become the totally non confirmist not yaoi readering underground. I always wanted to be part of a true subcultur. We could have signatures like " i read storys with girls in them" and the mainstream would call us perverted freaks. A dream come true!!!!!!

BJ's got a great point of view on this.
And we're gonna wear roll-neck sweaters, berets and large sunglasses and call ourselves non-conformists.
Friggin' sweet. My mom's gonna be proud of me.
EDIT: To you, the filthy yaoi-loving bitch who I used to call my friend, this is revenge. I ain't never gonna kiss any boys to please your perverted mind.
Sorry, I have my reasons to hate this genre.

lol... I imagine things going like this:
me: "yes, I watch anime and read manga with romance involving more than boys alone!"
someone:"OMG! and he said that infront of the kids!!!"

We need some kind of secret code, something that we can use to identify ourselves without putting ourselves in danger of being singled out by the ( futur ) yaoi mainstream. Something like the fish the old christians used.
how about this
female intercourse manga / double x chromoson action plan / this isn't working
damm, finding something that has a good acronym is hard. I am sure there are smart people out there who will do the thinking for me.
bye

I like your idea with the double x chromosome... we can wear T-Shirts with XX written over it... or maybe we can hang out with.... gulps our girlfriend?
Ah... forget I said that last one... it's way to much!
Disclaimer but serioulsy I never intended to start an anti-Yaoi discussion or anything... and I have nothing especially against people who read it... I just don't read it myself...
