I joined my school's anime club. I realised it was a mistake after I learned at least half of them had no idea what manga was.

Wait, so they were a just anime club then? Ah, you´re lucky your school has any clubs, in my country its like if the classes are finished, go home!!

Same here. (not that I'd do anything to make me stay more at school 😛 )

But oh well, I'm lucky to find two persons within 100 km range of me who know wtf manga is, so no clubs for me ;_;.

Right you are, the less time I spend at school, the better

I never joined an anime/manga club. I was never tempted to join in high school because if I did I would've probably been molested by this very scary girl.

No CLUB.
My school is a comunist/bureaucracy (in a negative way)

If we wanted to be in an anime club thing...well it's not possible. 😔

but uh, q0erjkojfsdfklsd.

Well... its not exactly a club, but me and some friends put some people together about a year ago,and applied for a japanese language class in my university. At last the professor has been found and if all goes well ill be learning japanese over the next season...
Of course, since almost everyone got the interest because of anime
(i am the one who got them interested hehe 😀 ) a lot of anime
and manga is bound to be involved...well ... at least that`s what we
hope.

Well, I'm a member of anime and science fiction club at my uni. During the meetings we usually watch anime or sci-fi movies. I don't think I'll be a member of it next year. Most of people there know only Naruto and Bleach >.< Not my crowd, seeing that well, I like to talk about something else, besides manga/anime, sometimes...

My school's anime club is awesome. The leader is super knowlegable and all the members are nice. We've had a fun cosplay party with pocky and ramune and we've watched animes like Death Note, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, NGE, and so on. I love it!

I have always wanted to join the anime club at my school, but I don't know if I am into it enough to reap the benefits of going.

Anime clubs scare the crap out of me. There's always mountains of butt-ugly fan girls screaming over Ed from FMA and annoying ADD doods who sit in corners talking about the girls and watching hentai.
