Anyway, this chapter was kinda disappointing.. All of that work and they only defeated two Pain ninja? But when Naruto came back, he quickly beat the same amount like it was nothing? Maybe Kishimoto's killing them off two at a time for a reason...

well, the rasen shuriken flew right? and that overcomes the cell destruction in his arm. i dunno. it is kinda his first distance attack.

For some reason the Rasen-Shuriken SEEMED to have done way less damage than when it was used on Kakuzu. It is possible that the only way to get the maximum impact and damage out of the Rasen-Shuriken is to use it head on and hit someone.

That said, I was hoping Naruto stay in Sage mode a bit longer. Seemed to have lasted way too short. I don't understand how Naruto can get tired so fast after using the Rasen-Shuriken once when he used it twice against Kakuzu. =\

Well, when he fought against Kakuzu, it seems that he was borrowing chakra from the Nine-Tails seeing how his pupils became slits. And he is stronger and has more stamina using the Nine-Tails chakra than using Sage Mode.

I think there is only 2 Pain bodies left now, unless he's just got more waiting at his hideout.
Actually there might be 3 bodies left.

In the end of ch. 431 Naruto punched the fat jutsu-absorbing one out. You can see his legs at he edge of the frame where the 4 Pains are trying to run from RasenShuriken.
When the blast hit, the long haired one was caught halfway so I just don't see any way he could've escaped, but the fat one was out cold so it is even less likely he got away because the 2 bodies (left now) didn't carry anyone out.
Inside Bunta's mouth Naruto double rasenganed the sumoning one and another one, who could've been either the long haired one (who boosted the sumoning one out of the blast, and was caught half-way) or the seemingly knocked out one.
Basically in the worst case scenario the long haired one got K.O.ed in Bunta's mouth and the fat one got away.

Ugh, I'm thinking too much... Why didn't Kishi just show the faces of both Pain bodies in Bunta's mouth? Pain is so damn hard to keep track of. I just hope he doesn't get more replacement bodies if he survives this fight.

It's obvious he will. Remember when his summoning Pein got beat by Jiraiya, he replaced it with another body when he goes off to Konoha. As long as the original Nagoto[whoever it is who is controlling them from a distance probably] doesn't die, then the replacements will still occur. I think even if the Peins Naruto is fighting all dies, the original one is probably off controlling them somewhere so Pein cannot be finished.

And plus, the strongest main Pein body[Yahiko's body] is still "alive", so I'm starting to doubt that Naruto will finish Pein once and for all in this battle, especially since the fact that the real Nagoto is most likely controlling the bodies like puppets is there.

Why would there be some unknown character hidden, controlling all the pains ? It does sound very plausible, but I always figured the nagato-looking-pain was the one who controlled the others; since he had the overwhelming amount of chakra necessary to control the others...

well they were all gathered in some sort of lab room before actually pre-Jiraya's death after all. so it's highly plausible that someone else is controlling the bodies in general. even God realm Pain is using the chakra metals.

he defeated 3 pains.. i think it's pretty cool for the new naruto.. remember when he killed the previous one? he almost lost his arm!! and spent a week or so in the hospital!!! and now he just sweated a lil bit...

and the throwing rasen-shuriken.. it's great isn't it? it was said to be imposible, but he found a way to do it, maybe it's weaker but now it's a long range attack which he never did in the past.. ever!!!

only 2 more pains and it's done.. the sage-mode is over, but his own immense chakra it's intact! and god realm is pretty tired and almost out of chakra and i dunno.. maybe the rasen-shuriken isn't his new tech maybe he's saving it for later..

Yeah I have the same feeling.
Even if Naruto somehow manages not to lose the fight, Pain can't be defeated so easily. He is still a mistery. Only when some of his secrets are revealed will he die. There needs to be closure.
