I wasn't really dissapointed in this chapter, the only thing that bothers me is that Naruto's chakra seemed to have run out at the end..huge cliffhanger!!
But anyways, I don't really get Sasuke either, I mean, if I wanted to destroy Konoha, I certainly would not let Pain go and do it before I could.I would kick his sorry ass!!

and azuka.. he didn't run out of chakra at all, it's just that he can't use the surrounding chakra anymore coz the sage mode is over.. that's all

actually i think he did run out of Chakra there. Sage mode works with him combining his own Chakra with his surroundings. and there's an abundance of it Sage Chakra, but his own would be rather limited or taxed when using a big move like his FRS.

Aside from avoiding it all together, isn't the reason he doesn't use the Kyuubi's chakra with Sage mode because they aren't compatible?

Huh? On what do you base this assumption? Naruto just doesn't do that because obviously he hasn't done it before; it would be kinda dumb to 'test' it while fighting with the vilage at stake... especialy with the poor Kyuubi-control he displayed in previous events and with the absence of yamato.

Yes sage mode; since the amphebian-sage technique failed I'm guessing we still haven't seen Naruto succesfuly gather chakra while moving right ?
I think Naruto has just run out of sage chakra and will now either have to make some new sage chakra; or find something else if he fails to do so.

What I don't think will happen is another kyuubi outbreak. Maybe if Naruto gets chakra depleted he'll use some kyuubi chakra; but I don't think he'll go all 4tails, if any tails... that just seems a bit too epic ~

I hope this part of the story ends soon. I figure future story lines are going to be a lot better then this. I mean it was somewhat cool when Naruto returned as a sage but the fighting is just irritating as nothing is advancing. Hopefully Danzo comes out and starts to act upon his own agenda. That would give Naruto series a good new edge I'd say.

Nothing is advancing with stupid and draggy and irritating fights = Bleach

I suspect Naruto will do his Kage Bunshin thing again to collect natural energy, since grandpa toad told him something like "collecting natural energy while moving is like looking at your right while looking at your left".
