No popular recommendatioms please (i.e. Fairy Tale, Bleach, Nisekoi)

I’m looking for some niche series that are so terrible you can’t help but wonder how they weren’t axed yet. I read Sakura Tsuushin recently, and I should have consulted the BakaUpdates comments first because I regret reading every chapter in that 163 chapter MESS.

I've removed memories of some of the worst manga I've read from my brain, so I don't have any examples. But the thing about chessy manga is that people like them and it's kind of subjective regarding what's bad. It's just a matter of whether they cross a line at some point or into different territory. Then there are series that start off solid, then gets steadily worse as it progresses.

Looking at my lists, a few '1's are I love high school and kyuusen no shima, so apparently I thought those had no redeeming qualities.

Anything by Higuri Yuu, especially Seimaden, though she's fairly popular in some circles, so this might just fall under the "popular recommendations" thing.

For something that a lot of other people also seem to hate, I guess Hot Gimmick counts?

Any shoujo smut manga fits the bill, but at the same time I love some of them and are my guilty pleasure. Love Monster and pretty much anything from this author is just plain awful. The only thing I love about this mangaka is the cutesy art.
