Asians, as in orientals or asians as from the Indian sub-continent?

either way, i think they are in the majority harder workers, not necessary smarter.

sometimes that makes all the difference.

No point being smart, if you don't use it.

being oriental myself, i too find it strange that some people think im "smart" or at leased have something going for you.

personally i don't know why they think that.

i consider myself just average.

And I swear i work less then the next person, one word can be said i worship the Goddess of Procrastination, will paying homage to her servants of Hentai, Anime, Manga & Gadgets.

but then again i think i have an inferiority complex, paranoia, otaku related mental disorders plus extreme tsundere symdrome.

My views`can be bias, i will need external assessments to verify these claims. (but it'll probably be rigged anyway. its an CONSPIRACY)

on the real tho, who cares if ur smart or not, if u cant use ur noggin to make some $ after the fun days are over, then its useless. majority of asians i know are ignorant as hell, i'd sooner stab them over any white, black, or latin man.

can u name 3 famous asians known for their genius? i can't. truthfully i can only name one genius, albert einstein, but dat just proves where intelligence and no skills lead u. there's 2 billion asians in the world, as an asian person, NOT being smart is a liability as the job market tightens.

People consider me smart. I also took geometry in eighth grade (the highest class offered) and was a year ahead in every other core class. Right now I have the highest average at my school in my grade (to be honest though, my school is one of the worst in the area. I wouldn't be number one if I went to the high school down the street; I purposely went to the one I'm in now). I also scored a perfect grade of 5 on the World History AP Exam.
I cannot think of a single Asian in my grade at my school. It's primarily African American (I'm a part of the majority of black students). I'm not trying to be racists or stereotypical, but I have yet to meet an Asian with bad grades unless they just don't do their work. I can't really say anything much about it though because I only know of 3 of them in my entire school.

My grades were never in the top, but in all my classes at college, for some reason, I was always considered the smartest person in the class, even by teachers and people with highest grades.

It was really weird when the person that had the highest average grades told me that she hoped she was as smart as me. And I was like WTF?

In certification exams I always had the top score and my thesis was considered the best. But I still think that people consider me smarter than I really am.

wow, i haven't read all the responses because i was just so eager to comment!

I also dominate on tests and such!! including IQ tests 😁 buuuutt i get mediocre grades, partially because i'm lazy and partially because of my anxiety and hikikomori tendencies. I currently have a 1.2 GPA but I got a 2250 on the SATs, so they didn't really predict my freshman grades. (the 1.2 is mainly because of missing a final 🙁 )

Lots of people think I know what I'm talking about. They are so wrong.

I'm not necessarily smart, just a hard worker (when i'm not reading manga lol). I take AP classes, mostly because i have tons of friends in there and there people aren't always calling me super smart (cause i actually turn in my homework lol)

Just curious, any other AP students thinking that AP is really for Advance Procrastination? Seriously, everybody in my class (including me) procrastinates everything! maybe its because we have too much homework to think ahead... 🤣

my class rank in in the middle, but i'm up on the wall with people (most with a top 10 ranking) that got over an 1800 on the SATs
i dont do homework, and i sleep in class, and still manage to get some of the best test grades.

my school is # 2 in the county i live in

i did well in high school, did well in university (even if i didn´t graduate), but that is because i have good short term memory (basically i did memorize the text after reading like 5 or 6 times, one speed reading, underlining the important parts, transcribing the important parts and then reading again) so that doesn´t equal to being smart (people who didn´t study much thought i was smart)

I think that I am considered smart becuase at my school we have awards that are given out each year: 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 10 Bronze scholars per year group, each year I have got a Bronze scholar. I do work pretty hard for exams but through the year I can rely on my natural skills 😛 .
I find Maths and the Sciences really easy but I need to work on English.

Confucius - founder of an entire line of thought and religion in eastern Asia.
Sun Tzu - Author of The Art of War, which incidentally is still read to this day for it's insights in both strategy and politics.
Murasaki Shikibu - author of The Tale of Genji, the oldest novel in existence today.

nope no famous geniuses from Asia at all, get your head out of the sand, or maybe it was implanted somewhere with less light and smelled of your own feces. 🙄

And basing intelligence on grades is pointless. I know some really smart people that skimmed by in school and are smart as hell, just lazy. On the reverse side I've seen people study their ass off for good grades who were clearly not the smartest in class, just the most determined. Judging people on their intellect rather than the whole package is like judging a manga after reading 1 page, yeah you may get a small taste, but most likely it will turn out differently than you expect.

As for me I think I above the average in intelligence, but I also have the procrastination bug, which had hurt me a number of times.

I'm not smart. but i think others tend to think i am. prob cause Im the quite Asian girl...I dunno im lazy too...I get average grades tho. well I do better in certain subjects and not so well on others (and math is definitely one that i dont do so well in...I quit after calculas cause i needed it for my major LoL)
I just think Im lucky too sometimes. like one time, in an exam we had to explain a certain passage of shakespear in modern language. I left out some parts because I didnt know how to explain it and I got a higher score then my other friends that explained the whole passage. (or i dunno maybe my partial explanation/translation was just better overall)

funny thing was in uni, there was this TA that at first didnt like me cause I skipped his discussion section, then after the first midterm, I got one of the highest score and he become all nice to me LoL
