Ok so I'm looking for a manga where there is a super nice, gentle-smiling seme who just won't touch the uke. The uke can be like a really forceful, pursuing type I don't mind, but no matter how much flirting he does, the seme doesn't touch him.

I'm not saying the seme has to be the clueless type exactly, he must be aware of the Uke's advances, just he won't touch the uke.

Oh but he has to eventually or the manga would suck. But it would be good if there was a long build up to the kissing part, but then sex must follow 😀

And I have already checked out categories like persistant uke and clueless seme before thanks so I don't need links to those.

I think the reason I began this thread is because I read a short clip of a kyou kara maou doujinshi between Yuuri and Conrad and Conrad is a really smiley nice guy.

There's a novel I know of that's like this, but I won't recommend it unless you can read Chinese. ^^;

Te wo Tsunaide, Sora wo - first story, maybe. The seme does touch him, but he doesn't go too far unless the uke lets him. I find him to be pretty nice and caring.

Puchi Puri - just shounen ai, but still, sorta fits.

Puchi Puri I have unfortunately already read but I love it, it's a really sweet manga 😀
As for Te wo tsunaide sora wo yay looks like I haven't read it so I'll definitely be giving that a go, thanks ^_^

Yeah those are they. Was a good story but wasn't the nice guy actually quite forward and proactive about his feelings? Although I grant you he does start off just trying to get close.

Junjou romantica has got to be one of my fav yaoi ever, now that is an entertaining story. I'm still searching for one to compete with it - koisuru boukun is a contender.

second story in Dash! should suit your criteria perfectly and most of Natsume Isaku's semes are super nice, gentle and cool guys

Yume Musubi is sort of one cuz the uke pursues the seme throughout half the course of the story and gets rejected

Sensei Wa Dummy is also sort of one characters fit the criteria but their relationship is kind of strange and there're only 2 chapters scanlated at the moment

Just finished reading Koiha ina mono mouna mono for the millionth time. It doesn't really fit with the seme not making the moves on the uke it was sort of the other way around but the seme was really happy-happy positive like. And it rocks as a manga 🙂

Yes I think you are right, at the stage of the manga I am in it seems like that is how it will work out. I'm hoping for a shocking twist though 😛

All of a sudden I thought of this manga: Hyper Love Power there is no particular reason why but if you haven't read it you must. It definitely doesn't fit with a seme who won't touch the uke though 😛

And although it isn't really 'quirky' one of my favourite BL manga is kimi wo watareba the ending is slightly sad and usually I hate sad endings but I have read it three times now despite this as it is one of the only manga that moved me emotionally so yeah.

Though straying off topic a little here 🙁
