@otakubb- cold yo, that poor teach only just went through a divorce, that's heavy stuff
Yeah, a bit, but it's not like we knew her at all and I felt bad for her, but it's not like I could do anything about it. She was only a sub after all and it's not like we're her therapists or anything...I just don't get why she told us that 😐

From experience most depressed people will tell all their problems to anyone near them for longer then 2 minutes whether you give a sh*t or not.

My old shop teacher use to be a technician of some sort in the army during the Vietname War. He's got 2 tattoos on both arms and a big one on his back.
My JH American History teacher was from the war too, a complete and utter hard ass. Kids in the class are scared stiff of him that and the fact he has a hook for a right hand.
really? My shop teacher is really nice....too nice actually....the kids make fun of him all the time.

I remember this one teacher at my school that did not know how to discipline or something so everyone misbehaved and eventually the kids were so mean to him that he quit 😀 I felt bad for him, but I didn't have him, so I never knew if he was as bad as they said he was. My friend used to complain, saying that when she raised her hand he didn't call on her, but then when she didn't he'd call on her and that some of her classmates got in trouble for talking when they clearly weren't the ones who were. Apparently he got talked back to a lot and nobody listened to him. Poor guy, the kids in my school were all
assholes :D
@Nelo_Neko--->Ohhh...I'd think it would be the other way around, like they wouldn't want to talk to anyone, that's how I get when I'm depressed 😐

I dunno maybe it's just me, I guess I have therapist stamped somewhere on me I don't know about. Remember this is my experience with depressed people, yours maybe different.

Well then apparently my teacher still thinks the war is still going on. Everything is life and death and then he repeats on how he lost his hand.

Well, I remember have a Shakespeare teacher that got divorced to marry a former student, then a few years later got divorced again to marry yet another, and younger, former student. On a less creepy note my freshman English teacher was named Mrs Peabody.

My 9th grade English teacher was "relocated" very quickly to another school after he was found to be having "personal contact" with a few female students. haha... Gross

I had this high school teacher who almost slept while explaining...and another one who laughed at here own math methods..another who ran after me with a big ruler....yeah memories...XD
oh yeah, i just remembered something...well he wasn't actually a teacher from my school but it was a student-teacher scandal that went to court. this teacher is what you call a player. he had female students all around him. the scandal starts here...he got one of them pregnant 😲 . the student loved the teacher that she and knew that having the baby would be a problem to him and the fact that he urged her for an abortion so she decided to get an abortion. an IMPORTANT thing to note is that abortion is illegal here so there aren't any doctors who handle abortions so she went to what i would call a quack doctor. she got the abortion and got an infection or something, i dont know what but it resulted in her death. after that the teacher got sued and even had the audacity to deny everything that he was charged for even though the evidence was there as clear as day. what an ahe.

you guys should respect your teachers. One time, a teacher failed me on my 20 page report on a historical character when I forgot to indent on the last paragraph. She took off 40 points and give me a 60.......and then another time, she took off 20 points off my test because she suspected that I was cheating. I was absent the day of the test so I took it the next day, I got 100 and she thought I somehow asked for the answer.....She's like "No one the in class got 100 on this test, only you."
I was like "But miss, I'm Asian."
Ok seriously, I told the vice principal and the vice principal sorted the whole thing out.
She's the kind of teacher who.....you'll never understand. For the whole school year, she called me, "The laziest person I have ever seen". And When I do get good grades, she called me a "cheater". Well, that's the wackiest teacher I ever had. Though I still respect her.

Ares, your story does not support your thesis.
You say to respect teachers and then tell a story of exactly why I would not want to respect that teacher.
But I feel the pain, I had a similar teacher who flat out didn't like me. I got A's on all the tests and assignments except for one. It was an Education/Career Planning class (basically a half semester class to keep kids busy after they finished drivers Ed). I was supposed to write a business letter to ask someone for a job and the job could be anything. It was a stupid busy work assignment and I thought to make it more interesting by writing to SATAN and asking if I could be in charge of the 7th ring of hell ( I think to punish usurers, but can't remember my Dante right now). She failed me and kicked me out of class. I went to the principal and demanded that the school respect my USA constitutional right to practice free religion without the fear of government prosecution. It applied because I went to public school. The teacher was forced to give me an "A" on the paper because it satisfied the requirement for the assignment she had handed out, but she ended up giving me a "B" in the class as revenge.
Later in the school year a I was standing with bunch of other students and the teacher walked by and slipped in a puddle and fell down on her butt. She was all wet and very embarrassed I pointed and laughed as hard as I could! She was so angry she got up and grabbed my ear and dragged me to see the dean of student behavior (the punishment guy). I explained to the dean that I was once again protected by the first amendment and could laugh at anything I wanted to and since class wasn't in session I was not disrupting study. The dean had to agree with me (I think he didn't like that techer either because she was an idiot) and though he didn't punish me, he did say not to laugh at people. The teacher was so mad she started to storm out of the office. I then said very loudly that I wanted to call my father because the teacher had hurt my ear when she grabbed it for no good reason. The teacher stopped in her tracks and just stared at me. I was laughing so hard on the inside that I wanted to pee my pants. I just stared back at her and smiled. I told the dean never mind and that I wanted to go to class now. It was pretty funny to me and I will never forget that teacher. I hate her.

thesis? What thesis? It's just what happened to me. It's my experiences with a wacky teacher.....it's not a persuasive essay contest.......
To me, even if the teacher is being hard on you, you still should respect them. It's probably because I'm Chinese. In my country, or maybe just my family, I was taught to respect elders and teachers. My grandmother(Elementary) is a teacher, my grandfather(College) is a teacher, my aunt(Elementary) is a teacher, my cousin(Elementary) is a teacher. Hmm...I wonder....the reason could possibly be my family......The point is, respect your teachers!

yea we've all had sh##y teachers, and some can be really vicious. I had a friend once who got this question on a multiple choice quiz wrong b/c the teach said his answer that was meant to be an "a" was really an "o," but the only options were a,b,c,d, or e.
But except for the few tyrants out there, teaches are above you and deserve some respect
