yes its a time to get away from your parents meet new people
Not worried about meeting new people, I think I can do that in class. And again, not my parents I"m worried about, it's my MawMaw. I haven't lived with my parents since I was four and now I'm starting to clash with my MawMaw, who wants me to go to college in state and still live at home. Really tempted not to, though.
I go away and suddenly the spammers are the mods. Okay, I can adjust to that, but... Gorath?! And what's up with Mam's not being the top poster?

Polite bump.
Just started university not even two days ago. I'm not staying in dorms though. =( I commute from my house. Takes about ~40 minutes with public transport. 🤣 I'd definitely like to experience it. Or just, living in an apartment in general.
As long as there aren't too many rules, I wouldn't mind dorming.

Can't answer that because i've never experienced it before.
I'll let you know in a years time when I go Uni. Even then I don't know whether i'll be in Halls or whether i'll stay at home. Depends where I end up.

In dorms, they usually randomly pair you up with someone, so make sure you don't get a bum for a dorm roommate like I got.

I go to Georgia Institute of Technology, and I am an RA there. Dorm life was fun first semester, so I figured why not make life hell for my residents and become and RA next year 😛 And that is just what I did haha. But really, depends on the college, but most dorms are acceptable places to live. The best part is how quickly you become friends with the people in your dorm because you are living right next to them.

I really want to experience how living in a dorm feels like. My friend lives in a dorm and I ask her how its like from time to time. She says it's fun but doing your own laundry isn't very exciting.
The river of life is magnificent and dangerous.
It was a fun experience.
I wouldn't do it again for the life of me, but I'll never forget how much fun I had.
Good times

Dorm life was a bit crazy, sometimes.
But it was also a lot of fun.
Having said that, boarding with a bunch of dancers brings some bad eating habits and such, and it was hard to watch people struggle with that...
I had my own space though. Don't think I could handle a room-mate.

I am in my first year of a university and I love it 🙂 So many ppl your age and it's kinda fun...Only thing I hate is that I have to my laundry and stuff...but, if not now, then surely in the future I would have to start once. So it's not such a big deal...

I love dorms!
It seriously beats being stuck at home >___> I like being around other people, I just do. It's been 3 weeks, and I'm seriously dying to go back(2 weeks to go!). The only beef I have with dorms is the lack of privacy, but then again, I love it as well. I love my roommate. I love being forced to socialize with her. It helps me not feel alone~

I like dorms and I miss my dorm's life.
Its fun to stay together with friends who are strangers initially. At first you don't know anything about each other but as time goes by you know more will starting to feel like a family. Even after college we are still good friends. You share foods, ghosts stories and gossips . Its fun
I used to have a friend who really scared of ghost, so at the midnight during 2 a.m or 3 a.m she will sneak in another roomate's bed.So, at the morning you will find them sleeping together. 😲
I miss them already.
And my roomates are multi races, we got chinese, indian and malay(muslims).
