Wiki will start seeing a lot more traffic. Google will too. Besides that, taking down MU would just piss me off. Hopefully if it does get taken down, Manick or some other generous soul would just reset and run this somewhere else.

I'd continue buying the manga that I'm buying until the series is over and then I'd completely stop manga. This site helped me to find manga that I didn't know about, and I'd probably be too lazy to find all of the scantalation sites that I'm reading manga from (in part because the lists would be gone, right? because the site would be closed.)

I'd also be very sad for a bit because I love this site. 🙁 It means a lot more to me then either mangafox or onemanga.

I hate the thought of MU disappearing...I'll have major down if this site is gone-so much valuable information! When I heard that onemanga was going down my siblings and I were devastated. And then we came with up with a few conclusions.

1: Learn how to use IRC
2: Learn Japanese as quick as possible and buy from Japan
3: Learn Spanish and pray that they do a good job
And if all else fails...
4: Move to Japan

Part of it was a joke, but right now our hope is on IRC and reading it in spanish

But I will buy the mangas that I really love like One Piece, but darn...that's a lot of money I need 😔

I would start using I2P excessively to download and find my manga releases hopefully – that is if more people started using it, including scanlators. The future looks bright tough.

I2P is an anonymizing network, offering a simple layer that identity-sensitive applications can use to securely communicate. All data is wrapped with several layers of encryption, and the network is both distributed and dynamic, with no trusted parties.

Many applications are available that interface with I2P, including mail, peer-peer, IRC chat, and others.

I2P is growing fast! There were nine releases in 2009, and traffic grew by a factor of 5[.]

Maybe you guys would like it too. Besides downloading manga there you can potentially download anything else you would want – ranging from anime to ebooks.

i'd die D: MU satisfies the ocd part of me that wants to keep all my manga listings and whatever nice and organized ;(

i doubt the publishers can kill this site, though. it's only information and there's no more links to downloads anyways. besides, what a wonderful tool they can use to find scanlators too, right? gets shot but really, they'd be shooting themselves in the foot and wasting valuable time and money.

if some random internet bug or fiasco happened and MU went down for other reasons, though, my life would be over ;_;

I'd pop a glock in my mouth and make a brain slushie. 🤣

Seriously though, I'd be pissed at first but there are other database sites that I go to, so it wouldn't affect me as much as some of the people on here. What would affect me though is losing contact with some of the friends I made on here cause they don't have a Facebook/Myspace account, or I don't know their Facebook/Myspace account. 🙁

I'd go into emo-mode. Probably.

I would keep doing everything the same as always.
However, I probably wouldn't pick up any new series, and I would go into major shock for a while.
And I would be quite depressed.

Give manga up for good. And also be lonely and bored for a while.

Punch in a hole in a wall then proceed to doing whatever. Life w/o MU would suck a bit more, but it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Let's hope this won't happen. I would probably not give up reading manga completely, but I would give it up for the most part. I'd probably get up to date/finish some series and from then on just read very seldomly.
