Ketchup. Only ketchup. Catsup...cats sup...cats supper? Cats eating dinner. Meow. Where do people say catsup? I've never even seen a ketchup bottle labeled "catsup"! 😉

Ketchup.

At least its not like pizza, where people call it pea-zuh, despite the fact that it is definitely peet-zuh. Ketchup is a bit trickier since it can officially be pronounced either way. I'd like to know -why- the English language has words that can be pronounced in multiple ways with the same meaning though.

It's "ketchup," of course. That's what it says on the bottles, and nobody around me has ever said "catsup." Besides, "catsup" sounds nasty; who would want to eat that?
