small changes seen in human beings (like the fact that we live longer, males r getting taller, females have their period sooner and humanity able to accept things that were not acceptable before) evolution does exist.

Most of those changes can be attributed either to modern medicine, or nuclear pollution from the two bomb that were dropped in WWII.

i call that evolution.

then how do you explain evolution in a time when there was no nuclear pollution or modern medicine
the conditions of earth at the time. this is what evolution is- we fit ourselves into the current conditions of the world.

btw two participants of this thread havent introduced themselves♥ 🙂

But thats not evolution (one species changes into another one) that is adaptation which HAS been proven.

Where we came from? Why are we here? Is there a diety? All very interesting questions. We should see if any manga has tackled this subject lately.

I think that we place too much importance on the idea that our existence is meaningful. If there was a huge explosion once upon a time and we are the result of it, it was purely by chance. The thought that some superworldy being pooped us into existence sure is a very self important way of looking at ourselves. Who would go through all the trouble to make something as trivial as life? Just like putting a car battery on a monkey exposed brain causes it to twitch it's cute monkey toes, breathing life into this planet (either by science or by divine means) has been very fascinating but altogether useless for the rest of universal creation.

We should just try to get along, enjoy the ride till it stops, and make ourselves as comfortable as possible in the mean time.

Lol....Cave Paintings that is by far the best thing I have heard in a while...so anyone a couple of millenia or more of now, can consider their evolved state quite a bit different from the Picasso's that they find in the local museum. Those are examples of Micro-evolution and believe it or not that is not a debate at all between Deitist and Evolutionist...Macro-Evolution itself and whether it can be proved in and of itself is not the issue. Rather, how can one prove a deity or evolution when you take in those fossils they could very well just be another species that died out there is no actual proof that they are links between an older version of homo sapiens and a newer. It is in the same realm as belief in a Deity...in the end Macro-Evolution is just Faith in something that can not be conclusively proven...Just as the Deity can not be conclusively proven the proof is not there and the "proof" is only "proof" to those who believe it already.

Because the whole idea of science is to understand as much as possible, also this debate is also critical in a lot of other debates. (political, moral, ect)

Especially when there is no real way for either side to win the debate.

so let the games continue (even tho we already chewed this subject over and over and over again in the god thread, and spitted it out)

all those reasons about evolution i stated in my previous posts will be proven in a few decades, this is our evolution. look at the fact that we have era's, that we have developed machines and we have electricity, look at the fact that children and teenage males r so like monkies...

That still is adaptation. Also there is still the issue of irreducible complexity

Actually the second law of thermodynamics support evolution. By adding more organisms to the envirnoment, the entropy increases. Also, structures evolve in ways where energy will flow through it faster and more efficiently and the energy organisms radiate out is also in a higher-entropy form.

.< I tried to explain it as best as I could. I hate physics, barely passed it in high school.

But, I still believe in a deity.
