Nah.
I don't really give a crap about celebrities. lol Unlike my friends who pretty much watch their every move and always ask me, "Omg, did you hear that _____ did _____?!" While I'm going, "Who the hell is that," and then they look at me like I've lived in a cave my whole life because I don't bother being nosy about people I don't even know lol.

Yeah... it's not like society is being disrupted or something because of celebs. That would be silly. Peeps listen/watch/read/whatever celebrity stuff as entertainment. They talk about it because they're amused by/interested in celebrity topics. The people who are "destroyed" as you say by "celebrity culture" simply fail at life.
Well... that's my opinion on it.

hahhaa...same thing happen to me....They will always tell me to read some gossip,"its common knowledge, you should know about it" thats what they will say when I make the blur face....I will just shrug, "uhuh.."

It's just a phase. I mean the Greeks used to watch people be slaughtered and eaten in arenas for fun. It's just something society is into right now, and I don't think it actually directly kills anyone so why not? Plus its another industry providing jobs.
