I would not come to georgia, we have the big flying roaches and palmetto bugs. It is nasty. And the avg. low temperature for any day of the year never goes below freezing, but the summers are quite hot.

Or Florida. Palmettos there too. During the (short) time I lived in Washington D.C., I didn't see any roaches though...

I live in Victoria, Australia and I've never seen a roach here before. I think it's pretty safe for me to say that they don't really exist here...well, unless they were brought in that is (in bags of onions, fruits etc.)

...Though Australia is a crap country 🤣

Roaches can live in homes anywhere, I know that.

I'm sure there are homes in my town right now with roaches BUT if they fumigate the place, they won't get more roaches just by carrying the eggs in on their shoes when they walk in the door because the things are everywhere and impossible to avoid (which, I understand, is basically what happens in a lot of places with warm climates).

An occasional infestation which can be completely gotten rid of (until the next time, of course...) is a different matter than a constant presence that's just being kept under control. 🤢

I've never had to live with roaches, but I've seen them in places I've visited (and I've heard stories about the Georgia roaches & palmetto bugs from my sister) and they gross me out. Bugs & creepy-crawlies in general don't really bother me much - I even kept a Madagascar hissing cockroach as a pet for ~8 months for an entomology class when I was in college - but the idea of living with roaches....no...just no. 🤢

The last few winters up here have been hard to get through. Last winter I ended up spending 3+ hours shoveling the snow off my roof. It sucked. I don't like snow sports, hate driving in the stuff, and I'm normally cold all the time anyway. 😔 Snow's pretty, but not pretty enough to make up for the hassle of dealing with it!

So basically I'm trying to 1) Find a place that's much better to live, climate-wise, and consider moving there; or 2) Realize that there really isn't a place that's much better climate-wise, and just deal with the winter here & quit complaining about it! 🤣

Umm... How about Vancouver or Seattle? Both are near the pacific so climate temperatures are usually moderate; summers are warm and winters are cool. Approximately, it snows maybe about 2-3 days a year, if it snows at all here at VC (dunno much about Seattle, sorry). They are also both near the boarders so you can go back and forth countries via road. However, cons include the fact that since they are near the ocean both are pretty much 'rain-cities,' but you get used to it.

Beetles? I don't really know, nor have seen if any were there. But perhaps you can search up online where beetles generally are found to decide where NOT to live by eliminations?

Safe bet would be DC.
But then again, DC isn't exactly a friendly city. You might want to live on the outskirts of it then.
Any farther north, and you get the real feel of the northeast temperate caused by the great lakes and the ocean.

I'd say the bay area in California. The climate is moderate through the whole year and roaches aren't a problem as far as I know.
Seattle is also nice as described already. It doesn't snow that much and to me it is not so rainy as everyone makes it out to be.

Fucking Canada.

Hate it. Fuck the snow. Fuck the cold. Fuck the wind. Fuck it all.

I hate snow like a bitch. Don't move up here.

Just get a house that's not shit quality / very old, and there won't be roaches. __

Yeah, but do they evolve too? 🤣

I can't really help with the moving, unless you plan coming to Europe.

I've never seen a live roach.
Though, here in Finland, it is
at least thrice colder than in the US.
