In that order exactly. I don't think a topic has been created for something like this yet, but if it has, then please feel free to lock it. Otherwise, this is what I'm looking for.

Rather than the typical 2 girls fighting over a boy or 2 boys fighting over a girl, I'm looking for the above combination.

After reading up to the latest chapter of Mirai Nikki, the relationship between Akise, Yukiteru, and Yuno made me question other potential couples.

So basically, a boy and a girl should be fighting over the affections of another boy. I would prefer it if the guys weren't flamboyant or anything like that, but rather straight gay, or only attracted to one guy and don't consider themselves gay.

I want romance, and by that, I mean genuine feelings. The story should center around the 3 of them and the guy in the middle can either be torn between the two or indifferent towards them. This is where the comedy part is fine. No ecchi, hentai, ect. Any other genre is fine. Even subtextual stuff is fine. It just has to somewhat meet the above requirements.

In fact, it can even be two guys who are really good friends (if you know what I mean) 😁 and are somehow struggling with their friendship because of a girl the main guy finds himself falling for.

And another thing, the two love interests should not be portrayed in a negative light. For example, the girl is real bitchy, so readers will want the guy to end up with the other guy and vice-versa. None of that please. If they're an actual villian within the story, however, but clearly show some form of love and admiration towards the male lead, then that is also a-ok. 😀

a very pretty new guy appears on the scene and tries to break up the couple, and you're lead to believe he's doing it because he likes the female. However, in reality he's in love with the male.
