Final fantasy VII. It's the reason I bought a playstation and got into gaming though Devil May Cry and Kingdom Hearts are both up there as well.

I hate games that are adapted from films, so boring for me even when I love the films. I couldn't even be bothered to finish the Lord of the Rings games despite it being my favourite film/book. I like my games to have an originl plot.

The pen is mightier than the sword...and considerably easier to write with.

only game i played with an interesting story line was tales of symphonia although the second one kinda ruined it for me grandia 2 wasnt that bad either other then that nothing else comes to mind

Symphonia had a pretty weak story compared to some of the other Tales games, but it was long and it was epic, if nothing else. You can't blame it though. It had a lot to live up to and in terms of gameplay, did so spectacularly.

Probably one of my favorite stories for a videogame is from Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2. Aside from gameplay that I can't describe as anything less than excellent, the story borders on something that would win an award if it was expressed through a different medium.

It's a shame I haven't seen the end of it yet, because I'm sure I'll shit my pants, but that final dungeon is just too long. 🤢
