Finally, a new site poll...And here's a thread to do further discussion about it!

Question:
If you worked on a real manga series, which job would you choose?

Answers:
Advertiser
Publisher
Translator
Artist
Story/Script Writer
Editor
I'd rather read manga for fun

I predict we'll have more readers than anything...People are lazy and don't wanna work for their manga

every options are illegal, but the last one is the least painful 😃

ps: nevermind, i thought you meant as in a scanlating group, but it seems to aim toward original manga creators....i still stand by the last option though...

Even though it's my poll suggestion i can't choose definitively. It's between a translator, artist or script writer. Good stories equals good reading but sometimes bad art will affect that. It's hard to come up with something unique but rewarding when you do.
Artist - like the creative side, but script writing too is creative just not the visual type.
Translator - probably work with the mangaka to get what they their work to flow like, learn or develop a language skill...

So out of the two it'll be script writer, or translator.... I'll go with writer.

story/script writer
What makes a manga a good manga is the storyline with the art supporting it, and since I can't draw (as of the moment I write this), I'd like to make a story for a manga.

Translator, definitely - if only I was fluent in Japanese! (Working on that, though...)

I'm not creative enough to write the story/script, can't draw worth a darn, & don't think I'd be much good as editor, publisher or advertiser. I love words, and I think it would be fun (though of course not easy) to work on getting a translation that was faithful to the original and yet sounded natural in English as well.

Translator. Cause that's what I'm doing right now and I'm loving my job. XD

Well, I chose editor, but I'm really not 100% sure of what the job entails...

I just know that I'm obsessive over the "normal" definition of editing (word choice, grammar, etc), so I thought it'd be the best choice... However, manga editing is probably much different than story editing...

Story/Script Writer. Because I can think of random scenarios that would look good in manga (in fact, I have been thinking about writing down a few, hm). I am/was a translator (English--->Polish, my two native languages) and it sucked, taking up too much of my time. I wouldn't even want to know how long it would take for me to translate from Japanese 🤢
