Affectionate lovers and snuggling

I got tired of reading manga in which the couple gets together after a great deal of drama only to be faced with more drama, and the viewer never gets to see their displays of love. So now I'm looking for something in which the mangaka shows ample enough evidence that the readers aren't bored but can tell that they love each other without needing to know the couple is dating/married (don't care).
I'm welcome to all genres, but I'd rather not read yaoi (although it's fine). Having said that, I don' t want the said "affection" to be just sex. I'd prefer something medium to short in length though (less than forty chapters).

Well, if you are okay with yaoi... Rutta to Kodama has a lot of kisses and snuggling... It's a slice of life manga and it doesn't have the drama you are looking for, though. It's cute, if you like school life and yaoi (which I strangely feel that it's not your case).

Thanks, I'll try it out. (although I'm not looking for drama. Maybe I phrased it a little weirdly?)

Land of the Blindfolded; they get together relatively early in the series so the remainder is about how their relationship unfolds. 🙂

In Keishichou Tokuhanka 007 by KAJI Eiri the main characters cuddle and snuggle in almost every chapter without being a couple yet.
The lovers from MORIE Satoshi's Hakuji are also very intimate in a more sensual, yet pure and obsessive way.
Maybe you could count Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge by HIKAGI Tatsuhiko in as well. The main couple's displays of affection are less frequent in comparison to those of the others mentioned above; however, their attraction always feels warm and loving. Besides, they have the most sensual hair-cutting scenes since "Full Metal Panic! - The Second Raid" 🙂
MIZU Asato's one-shot Kimi tte Donna Nioi nano? also has a very adorable idiot couple. Their affection may be slightly off, but that way it fuels a lot of laughter.
I second anything by MIZUTANI Fuka and MITSUKI Kako.

- Otoyomegatari by MORI Kaoru
- Gangsta. by Kohske

You should definitely check out Usotsuki Lily since they get together in the first chapter, so the rest of the series is about their relationship and how they cope with the Main Male Lead's crossdressing 🤣
