This is one of the few series i remember how it did end. i have read a lot of mangas and most endings are rushed or just hanging in there without any conclusion which makes me think what if scenarios and results in a barely remembered novel. reading this again after a few years i still took the same pleasure i did back then even when i knew where it was going. its a good story told in a good many words, doesn't drag and i like the art to boot too. All in all i happily give one of my few full marks for this manga and happily recommend it to any manga lover even if you are not into the shoujo gentre much. One last word: if i have to say one thing negative about this manga, there are many time slips. it could have been easily two times longer with a full told story with nothing extra added. However mangaka is nice and you are tipped about what happened in this spaces between two chapters so its not that big of a deal (hence i didn't give any minus to the rating i gave)
It's way too short. The plot runs so fast that I felt unable to get into the characters' feelings (like the relationship between Hikaru and the teacher).
But I really liked the series, even if love triangles are not my thing - the personalities of the characters were exactly to my taste.
Here's the thing. I seriously, seriously thought that this is a yaoi even if it's not tagged as one. The girl protagonist is not in anyway romantically involved with the 2 main guys--at first. In fact, she even made comments early on that she suspects there is something going on with them. Haha. Now, I didn't mind if this thing turned out to be a yaoi, but for shoujo fans, don't worry, it's not yaoi.
The romance takes sometimes to develop, which I think is a nice change from the typical love-at-first-sight.
For people who are looking for showbiz manga, this is it. Although it doesn't go too much in depth into the working the business, but it's there. The plot revolves around the romance and the gender bending than the showbiz.
It was a good read (: even though i was satisfied much with the ending (seeing as it felt kinda rushed) it did make smile & fangirl squeal to see how cute they were at the end >_<!!!! Good series~
Just finished the whole series in one night! Its THAT engaging...

and for once the girl didn't chose the loser cheater and made the right decision to get over him and start a new life with someone else. Its realistic in this sense. Also i enjoy manga where at the beginning the obvious hero isnt romantically involved with the main character, but it comes as a surprise with plot twists... very very engaging and feel good manga.. though the ending was slightly rushed.
The way I can tell rather or not a Shoujo merits a high score is rather or not it makes me want to go out and buy it. This was not one of those. Nothing new, here. The art is well done but so what? I was disappointed.
It was mostly good. Some parts really irritated me and I personally didn't really like the heroine. I also hated the relationship between the sensei and Hikari, totally inappropiate and was soo happy when they broke up. Ending was ok for me. Art is really good.
This manga is really nice and I enjoyed reading it. I believe the author should have put a lot more effort into the topic of the main character's dream in life. It's not really believable that being 17 years old you suddenly remember the dream you had when you were 6 and after 11 years of not doing anything to accomplish you decide to give it your best effort and change your whole life accordingly.
I also think that the way in which the two characters reunite at the end is kinda forced and it could have been slower, more romantic and better explained, but it's nice all the same.
I read some critics saying that the topic with her sensei is not resolved. I think it is. He is a grown up man and he decides to do with his life whatever he wants, even if it means taking unjustified decisions that may hurt the main character. Teenage girls are able to move on after a break up so I think is only natural that she was able to get over it and decide to have a relationship with her roommate.
All in all is a really nice manga with just a couple of holes in the plot that don't stop you from loving the characters and enjoying the story.
The books said 16+ but it's surely shoujo, typical shoujo manga. Main female character look so familiar suzuka + ouran host club? I feel that main female character are lack of unique characteristic, just so plain, indecisive same as 80% of shoujo manga in market. It would be better if mangaka add something (ex. strong will, work hard, vision) and show it to reader from time to time. Anyway it have touching moment (only main couple) and you can enjoy read it till it happyend.
