Destiny or Choice?

i choose both.. coz generally,, i think we already have a predestined path that we should take, but as we go along those paths, there would be forks in the road that we will encounter, and that's when free will kicks in... so we choose to take the other path, and in this path, destiny says that this and this will happen, and then another fork comes along.. and then here comes free will again... so it's just an alternating thing between destiny and choice.. well, that's how i see it anyway..

Choice, nobody controls what I do except me myself
Somewhat incorrect.
Feel the power of suggestion.
But see, if somebody suggest something to you, dont you yourself decide if youll listen to it or not, okay there is some form of control you cant go against maybe your parent when youre a small kid, but everything else I think its up to you

How about if destiny is responsible for bringing you certain choices in life but you ultimately decide what happens?

But arent those choices you get still decided by someone (like if your boss wants to give you a promotion, you call it destiny, but it still doesnt deny the fact that he acknowledged you and gave you a promotion by his choice)

both...we are all destined to make a choice. 😁
True 😃
We have the choice over things we have power over.
example= You can't choose your parents. Biologically at least...

Or take this other approach...
Everything has a set amount of outcomes, some closer to infinity while others in more manageable amounts.
With every action taken in succession of another, the criss-crossing outcomes eliminate what can no longer be possible and reduces the amount of outcomes that can occur. With more and more actions and their results overlapping and building upon each other, the possibilities become increasingly less than before, until the final actions reduce the possible outcomes to less than a handful, then finally only one.
What now? What else can this last outcome be other than destiny made by one's own choices?

There's this weird ancient Greek philosophy that says that although you're destiny is set in stone, it's still your choices that take you do your destiny. It's weird but it's basically like, if you were the gods you'd see their fate, but the gods don't make the fate happen, YOU yourself will still make it happen.

No it's more along something like this. The gods know exactly what's gonna happen to you, but you reach that point by your own concious decision. So basically no matter what you decide you're gonna end up there anyway, but you still ended up there by your own choice.

I don't believe in destiny. We fashion our lives by the choices we make.

So, you are saying it´s the difference in perspective (point of view) what makes the difference between free will and destiny (from a god-like point of view everything is predestinated; from an human point of view everything is the result of your own choices).

yep exactly.
yeah, that can be right, if you believe in the existance of divinity and if you believe in the powers of the human mind to make choices. But not everything in our lives can be object of our power to make choices, and for something not to be an object or result of a choice doesn´t make it exactly to be something predestinated.
