Nyaa, can't say I hate yuri... 😛 I dunno, I just have a hard time getting into most hentai. Mostly because it's usually zero plot, just.. 😲
But there are a few I enjoyed, because it seemed the characters actually cared for each other. I can't stand the random/ no plot junk where they just start shagging like dogs.
As for why guys tend to like yuri, and girls tend to like yaoi, my theory is this: it takes out the middle-man, so to speak. The draw is the member of the opposite sex, so it's a bigger reaction/ doki-doki thing when there's two of 'em. Also, ( not my thing, so I won't comment on yaoi), but it just seems more, um... beautiful, I guess? Like there's a certain symmetry to it. Right? Whatever. Just my thoughts. 🙄

I'm a huge yuri fan. I like yuri that isn't pornographic just as much as the stuff that is. Any variety of yuri is cool with me.

Simple straight hentai doesn't do much for me anymore unless it's doujinshi and I know the characters, or the art is superb, but I do like certain particular sub-genres of hentai.

I tend to stay far away from most yaoi. it doest disturb or repulse me; guys just don't interest me in the slightest.

erm, I have no problem with Hentai or Yuri but Yaoi is my most important one! 😀 in fact I will read any thing with a good story line and beautiful art as long as it has nothing to do with S&M or rape since I hate these.

Hasn't really changed, i read what catches my interest and still don't really like yuri.

Yaoi mostly. Occasionally, if there is a good Shoujo-ai, I may read it. But not yuri, and not really hentai.

YAOI FTW

Honestly, I just find it a lot better than the latter two (perhaps because there's more of it? I don't know)

Especially since there is just so much more plot filled stories in yaoi than yuri. For every plotfull yuri story that I read, I could probably find 20+ yaoi stories to it (granted, I have only read one yuri story that I enjoyed, but I only read it because it was psycological. It was awesome. Other than that, the yuri genre is REALLY lacking. It's really not my cup of tea anyways.)

And I don't read hentai. I just don't.

However, I'm willing to try anything that has a good plot to it.

Yuri only for me. Like others have said, I mostly just look for something with a good story and like-able characters. A romantic yuri couple just happens to be something that suits my taste just fine.

Yaoi does nothing for me. I'll read anything that looks interesting but if yaoi is the central theme then I'm not likely to be interested.

I've read a few hentai, but am not a fan of the genre. Usually only hentai that have strong elements of other genres will catch my interest, but if the central theme is sex then I'm not likely to stay interested.

Having said all that, I really don't read manga for the porn. I'd much rather spend my time engrossed in a scary horror story, or an epic fantasy tale.
