That apparently doesn't stop it from being at the bottom of Shounen Jump's ratings. Not that competing with cash cows like Naruto or Bleach is really fair, but it explains it at least.

The rating of the manga was high but the sales were not

Can't really appreciate the ending, since it was obviously forced..I really was hoping for an ending from the serialization only..Wishing it would continue with the tonks..But after reading the last Chapter, I have to say that it wont be continuing ever..The way it was done was obviously a conclusion, a period, an ENDING.. 😢

a pity, IMO the story was just halfway or even barely halfway until it was announced to be ending soon.. then the story tried its best move fast forward and made a hasty(albeit reasonable) ending..

Gonna miss this one bad.. 😔

Well all in all I am really happy that I got the chance to read such a great story. The plot was great and so was the artwork. I admire the mangaka. Its not everyday that you find a good manga with all the different types that are out there. I also heard that SJ decided to rush the mangaka to finish it and I keep hearing about a petition. I'm not sure if it will work but if you guys are willing to try you can write your thoughts to the publisher and see if you get a response regarding it. I have the link here. I guess its worth a shot. If it happens it happens. If it doesn't... all well. I have nothing bad to say. And all of you that are badmouthing and cussing the artist for this ending should be ashamed. If you are true fans you wont mock the hard work and effort that they placed until now, regardless of the ending. Sure I wont lie, I am not extremely pleased with the ending that was given to the series. But I am happy. ^_^

It was one of the manga's that i really appreciate, and obviously the ending was forced like others had stated. It was really sad for the manga to end, and i was really shocked when it ended.

Instead of making it 2 months later, the manga-ka could of made it after he had finished the studies in the othr school or what ever.

Anyway. Overall i'm really sad that it ended.

he made it 2 months later so there could be a possibility of a sequel you see. If it had a ending where the taiga comes back after a year with the gold plate how could there be a sequel?

The ending was really frustrating because it leaves everything up in the air! I think that they are gonna have to do an expansion series so that it can end better... 😕

i must say im very disappointed from this event duno whats the editor doing but this is 1 of the greatest manga i ever read. it has a great story great mixes... it was one of the reasons i started reading manga... and it was the first manga i ever read.....
i read many other good mangas... which have been stoped ? i guess some ppl dont know what quality is.... still sad.... i would love to see a more descent ending...

by the way im Bulgarian.. its a country which is very small in europe and im not american duno if that prooves anything...
i must point that this was 1 of the best mangas i ever saw and i would put in category with naruto and bleach , which are slightly diferent , probably a different name would make this manga more popular sadly its over now and im quite mad of the people who think this anime is not popular!!!!!!!!
i must say this is 1 quite popular anime and IM VERY CONFUSED ! why did it stop.

point is, the manga ended in such a bad light so that it could be continued once they finally came to their minds about what terrible deed they have comitted... 🙄
so now all we gotta do is wait for the continuation to come out...probably Gx0...since there was a prequel to Mx0 that was like....Px0 or something (not sure)....the only question now is how long we have to wait for it to come out...

well it would be sad but if they dont release new volumes we can still keep the memories of the manga except the last 2 eps.. otherweise would be nice lets pray 😀

When I read the last chapter, I wasn't yet aware that it was supposed to be the last chapter or that the series got canceled. (Although I did notice a weird development in the story from the previous 2 chapters)
So I was extremely surprised to discover how it ended so brutally.
But after a quick search I realized why it happened. And I must say that for such a rushed situation, the author did pull it off quite well. It was a pretty good ending for something done in so few chapters and on such a short notice. And he was smart enough to leave it open enough to give him a possibility to pick it up again without making a horrible ending.
But yeah, this series deserved a better non rushed ending.

Don't worry, there's a ton more development that needs to occur for it to finish. This manga is far from ending because he still needs to grant Hiiragi's wish. And he barely got 1/10th of the capacity for a Black Plate.

There are plot-threads which were left dangling, but they aren't substantial enough to start a new series over. The entire premise of this series was a kid in magic school, who everyone thought was talented, that couldn't really use magic... Now he legitimately can use magic, is rather good at it, and no longer has an Mx0. It is possible that the universe could be revisited, or a one-shot could be borne of it, but there isn't really any way to justify a full-out continuation of the series as it was, even if a publisher would pick it up.
