I would have agreed with you IF the last chapter had ended with him leaving, however there are two points that suggest that this thing is dead in the water, as unfortunate as it may be...

1: They show a '2 months later.' between that and the way his little monologue goes are classic signs of an end that doesn't continue. The fact that they show him learning magic already seems to stand in place of a sequel where he earns the gold plate, and if he had it when he returned, what would be the point of the story.

2:His last statement about becoming a great magician one day. It's and ending where the character looks forward to his goals and says, 'my journey has just begun' kind of thing, and the story is left to our imagination.

Both elements are classic for ending a series with room to go on, but not a lot of hope of a solid end. Not to mention, his farewell and everything was like he would never see the place again. Too stressed for something that will continue with him returning...

I loved this series, and will miss it dearly. The idea was refreshingly original, the characters were great, and Lucy rocked... 10/10 manga I almost didn't read. Glad I did...

I actually liked the ending, now I definitely would have preferred it to not end at all (well at least not until he finished getting the Gold Plate and graduated), but the ending was good considering the mangaka was forced to finish it.

But considering how the story was going, it would have been a terrible ending if he didnt get the gold place and couldnt grant Hiragi's wish, and letting him actually get a gold plate was something that was becoming increasingly difficult as time went on. Its almost like this ending was necessary to actually make the hoped for ending even possible.

hope his other series wont have similar endings... also i hope the manga that replaced mx0 sucks and gets canceled after 10 chapters or so

it sucks that its over but it was a great manga that came to an early end. maybe they will continue it but i highly doubt it but it sucks more that not many ppl saw how good it was. : /

im trying to research what new series he is going to do but so far nothing
also what would such a talented mangaka reduce himself to be an assistant if anyone finds out what his next series is please send me a messege with a link so i can see what its about i just love his manga and it all started with pretty face oh how i will miss his manga

That kinda sucks now since I really liked Mx0.
Now it's like Pretty Face all over again -.-'' Oh well I hope the author can create a more successful series than it's last and hopefully doesn't have to cut too short so it can make a proper epilogue than these ones since it was pretty much rushed.

Man that was not a good ending. Talk about cliched, terrible wrap-up. Ugg, well there is another great manga tarnished by a subpar ending.

A terrible ending for a fantastic manga.

No development between Kuzumi and Hiragi/Muzuki other than a mushy cliche good bye. ><

Here's hoping that a sequel will be made... I KNOW it's a long shot, but wishing hard for it doesn't hurt.

BTW: I was hoping for a Kuzumi/Mizuki pairing. Won't find out though... FFS!!

What's left to say, the ending sucked. It doesn't look like there is going to be a sequel with the way it ended though. Too many things were left unresolved, in particular, the relationship between Taiga and Hiragi/Mizuki. I thought at the very least, if the mangaka knew it was going to end, he should have at least have made some sort of confession. Well, in chapter 98, Taiga did say that he had something to tell Hiragi when he comes back, and to wait for him (or something like that), but that's not much of a confession at all. I know the mangaka didn't have much to work with, but I thought a confession should have been included along the way. Even a scenario where Taiga confesses and says not to respond until he comes back would have been acceptable. Doesn't look like it will continue, but you can always hope for something. And yes, when he does gain magic, it really won't be proper to call the series Mx0, but he could always just call it a different name.

That was the end!!...bloody hell!!!...that was outright disappointing..i was hoping for more..but what can i say...sheesh. I finally found a manga that kept me interested..no outright ecchiness, interesting characters, great main char., So many storylines left out in the ether.

Lets start a petition...MORE MX0.
Even if the mangaka have to make it a webcomic (everybody seems to have one anyways). I bet it'll be successful everywhere!!!

That apparently doesn't stop it from being at the bottom of Shounen Jump's ratings. Not that competing with cash cows like Naruto or Bleach is really fair, but it explains it at least.

This was my favorite manga so far, i'm very dissapointed about how it ended and really hope it will be continued in some way..

I am actually quit happy how it ended. If the Mangaka was forced to end the title due to some issues it leaves him with enough space to make a comeback. Well it is just my way of being hopeful anyway.
